The bloods might be worth a few at $4.25

As the once mighty Cornsey always says with every loss we are one game closer to a win........

PS when will the SANFL get the guts to tell all teams to get a clash jumper, it could be argued that WA is the only clash with Glenelg but why does that make it okay not to have a clash jumper?????

Attn SL what about Norwood????

Get a life you are just a want to be Collingwood, and everyone agrees they are idiots.

Get a clash jumper eg your old 30's something yellow with a black V for away clash games
Never argue with an idiot, those watching may not be able to tell the difference

Bosvit, a little fired up, i see.. if you are going by comments on the snouts website, these are not the official views of the GFC, who are looking at an alternative strip. Secondly, most Glenelg fans would be be in support in an alternative strip...our 1934 version modelled at left by Blue Johnson would fit the bill perfectly. I for one wouldn't like to see it worn every second week, once or twice a year would suffice.

Nah its all good

Just like to see some leadership from the top, if you clash and you are away have an alternative.

I like the WA alternative but get shirty when we have to wear it at home against the Bays, why should we.

Just like you should not have to wear an away strip at home.

We clash against the same teams, ourselves obviously, Norwood and prob WWT & SA

Yes a bit shirty but I am sure you can sympathise why. I did check out the snouts site but I do that with all the upcoming teams, it is an interesting read, as I am sure ours is, when you do not follow the team that everyone is barracking a little too hard or or in some cases kicking a little too hard.

Christ, how hard is it to tell the difference when one team where white shorts and the other is in dark, not to mention the difference in the socks and the backs of the guernseys....

I've never, ever ever had a problem telling the difference between any of our SANFL teams. I've never really wondered why we have to have alternate guernseys just another example of how we've bent over at let the americanisation of our sport purvey through our sporting ethos.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Do you have to wear your "away guernsey tomorrow, if so, I was unaware...That is rubbish, its never been a problem in the past, do players now have poor peripheral vision  . I wanna see battle of the sash, just like Essendon vs Richmond.

FFS if you can't spot the difference between the traditional SANFL club guernseys you are either:

1. an idiot
2. colour blind
3. not watching the game
4. ignorant of the traditions of the SANFL clubs
5. all of the above

I think it was the English Premier League first, but could stand corrected

"Traditionally" SANFL clubs have changed their guernseys many time over the last 100+ years.
It would actually be "ignorant of the traditions of the SANFL" to not change a guernsey and keep the same one.

The predominatey yellow guernsey Glenelg wore a couple of years back was the best guernsey Ive ever seen them in, they'd be mad not to market it and use it.
Ironically the only club that doesn't need a "clash" guernsey is North and we have one. :?

Over several years I have spoke to players from all the above mentioned teams who I know and they raise the issue how the jumpers can be confusing under the pressure of competition - probably easier for supporters who are not being tackled at that moment - this issue has been around for longer than posters may think and its about time that the league's showed some leadership.

By the by - years ago the away team always played in white shorts until some clever person at the league approved a club to have white shorts as their home colour.

I think you'll find it was two teams that was approved to have "white shorts" as a home colour in teh mid 90s (~1994)

You shouldn't. Because West's guernsey does not clash with Glenelg's.

South under Sheldon wore white shorts at all games for a period of time. When Applegarth took over he reverted back to the dark shorts for home games. One game we took the white shorts to Adelaide oval (as the away team) South came out in them too for the ressies - our property stewards had to go back to the BAy to get the black shorts for the league and ressies to change into at half time...
