I find it baffling that some ignorants in the media are discussing the credibility of this year's flag.
No matches relying on how many injuries an AFL club has.
It will be the most credible flag since 1990!!

AGREED.
Though I am still concerned we are being a little optimistic and opening up a bit faster than is safe.

I wonder how much more of this we will see before the season starts whilst there is doubt over the VFL and no Crows/Power reserves?

Interesting article here from last week about the VFL, including the fear that the SANFL would start poaching players:

I think there may be an announcement regarding something soon.

Aren’t all players playing for free this year?

Yes. Id expect a few clubs will recruit some players as well.

but what happens next year, when you have to pay the players & you've "over-recruited".

A horse walks into a bar and the barman says "why the long face?"
The horse replies "Because I'm a South Adelaide supporter and we haven't won a flag since 1964!"

Like any other year. Keep who you want obviously. Nothing changes at this point. Gazzamagoo.

That's a big out. Wonder if he's playing elsewhere?

Had to go back to Qld when the world turned upside down, and I think (guesswork on my behalf) his financial obligations in life would probably prevent him playing footy here this year. I'd think the club would be hopeful of having him in 2021, but who knows what the future looks like and who knows whether a 29yr old who's probably met the bulk of his footballing goals would bother making the move. Disappointing to lose such a quality recruit, but completely understandable in these unusual times.

Surely you jest? The last "name" non former doggie recruit we got I reckon was Nick Holman .
