Honestly - would you have said the same if you had recruited him

My original excitement about apparently signing Cupido was the goal scoring power we would have in 2007 with Waterhouse, Hargraves and Cupido. But then I came back down to earth, and remembered Cupido is fat and lazy.

Whereas Clive is fat and selfish and Hargs is just fat. Go Port!

Vinnie Rugolo from WWT the latest name floating around...good chance of an announcement on a new club shortly. Other side of town, one colour remaining the same.

Obviously not unprecedented for a player to spit the dummy when left out of GF, but usually seems to be over and done with, ie player quits, quite quickly afterwards - unusual for it to go quiet and then come up again as a point of discussion. Not saying it's not true though.....

Gill was a Rookie, so how is he going to get a game without a long term injury??? LeCras has been on the list for 4-5 years and done NOTHING.

"Dominate" is a powerful word....

and Clayton did get games with the Roos....

LOL @ MT79

Yes Clayton did get some games but they didn't hang onto him thats the whole point of the argument i'm making. And Gill, well as a rookie, he could have been promoted onto the senior list at years end. And....as i said, they couldn't make it with the Roos but are now dominating at SANFL level.....

Its not rocket surgery

LMAO - thats one of the funniest things Ive seen

FWIW, if it sticks, it is Rocket Science or Brain Surgery....

Totally understand that Gill can dominate a game but these blokes are saying DOminate the Competition, a big difference, I would have thought the only bloke who maybe close to getting this title would be Clayton a couple of years ago

Hehe its actually a play on words, i chose those words deliberately....theres a chick on one of those late night Quiz shows that uses the term.

I guess none of us really knows how good Lecras will be, he could become a dud like Ahmat or a champion SANFL player like the Gowans or J Clayton. Only time will tell, really, as with all the AFL expeienced players that come into the comp next year.

Asked the question of some Kangas supporters on a different site and they all seemed to agree that Lecras should star in the SANFL. Rated him as a hard worker, excellent clubman, someone that will probably take 10 marks a week and will keep running and presenting till the game is over. Said hes more of a lead-mark forward than a contested marker.

Also will give us the option of keeping AhChee in defence again for hopefully teh whole season.

maybe Sturt??? he always plays well against us (who doesnt  ) but not the most disciplined player. Wouldnt say no tho.

The clue sounds more like Norwood as its more 'across town' than sturt...

unless you have the inside word Fligh High, then i guess there is no uncertainty about it??

Central's are very close to signing Ian Callinan now he has been bumped of the Kanagaroos train on list. I understand all it needs is convicining his wife to move from Tassie and the deal will be done. He will be a good pick up and has been pursued heavily by a few clubs including North who got out of the race for his services once they had signed James Allan. Callinan is now only interested in the Dogs if he comes to SA.

Just to add what I previously said about Brad Murray, Brent LeCras was a teammate of his at West Perth and he was judged as BOG in their 2003 flag. Not suggesting that this means he'll dominate the SANFL but he is a fairly hard worker from what I have heard and am surprised he didn't get more of a go at the Kangaroos.

Ian Callinan would be a fantastic addition to the CDFC, Callinan is only 23, has represented the VFL against the SANFL and was a joint winners of the 2005 JJ Liston Trophy, which is the VFL B&F.

Callinan, Makepeace and Grima would be 3 quality additions to the club

Im not saying he will dominate the league. Im hoping he will become a very good and reliable forward option.

I dont think a forward has truly dominated the league for a very long time.

You can correct me if i'm wrong but i dont think i ever said that Lecras will dominate the SANFL. What i said was that J Clayton and Gill both couldn't stay on the Kangaroos list even in their early 20's, but now are up there with the elite SANFL players (and yes i'll say they dominate the competition), and given this i could see no reason why he (Lecras) couldn't have a great year with PAMFC next year. The word "dominate" was referring to J Clayton and Gill's performances in the SANFL, and not specifically of Lecras potential performance next year. You were the one who was writing off Lecras before he started in the SANFL and i was just countering what you had to say.
