You are more than welcome to redevelop Alberton if you want, maybe for your crowds you would be better off with a 15,000 seat boutique stadium like GWS

will essendon be able to play this week?

Yep and we will be around a lot longer than you.
Even with all this crap happening at the club we have almost got to 50,000 members and estimates are we will finish up with around 57,000.

yeh how much did lance armstrong lose in the day he admitted to using drugs.

We are all paid members and half of us are season ticket holders so the club already has our money.

I agree the Power will be around till at least 2017 as the AFL will probably subsidise them for 5 years before they too get sick of it and move their license on.
Port are screwed and the SANFL will get stronger and stronger, its a great deal agreed to by all parties.

And I'll be sitting up in the stand enjoying a nice beer laughing my tits off knowing that my money is going to the SANFL and SACA. :D

haha the SMA report to Infrastructure Minister Tom Koutsantonis.

1- the afl license is handed back
2- the crows and power have nothing to do with the sanfl.

For starters:

1. the AFL as the nine SANFL clubs are funded in the same way (not to the same extent though) as the TAC cup clubs in Victoria. This money is given to the SANFL and then distributed to the nine clubs.
2. SMA revenue from playing games at Adelaide oval.
3. Returns on the redevelopment of Football Park

Do you think the SANFL has agreed to move from footy park without guaranteed income streams from Adelaide Oval??

Don't forget

4. Pokie$

and

5. not having to bail out a foundering AFL club every so often. Not an income stream, but a significant saving nonetheless.

They don't need to have control of the mcg. But seeing the SANFL is set to have no involvement in AFL in adelaide there is no need to have them there.

Umm, they're accountable to the law, as are everyone, noone is above the law, that's all that says. LMAO.
You do know he wont even be the Infrastructure Minister or even in government when Adelaide Oval opens its doors?
The only way the SANFL can be kicked out of the SMA is if they're paid half of what Adelaide Oval is worth, and that aint going to happen.
I know you don't like it but all your ramblings cant and wont change things, its just the way it is, bad luck and make sure you get a ticket to Adelaide oval so you can tell your grand kids about the team that used to be called Port. ;)

Read it all buddy, probably wont be there when adelaide oval opens it's doors but he is the one currently there. Did the SANFL pay for half of the stadium?

Koutsantonis has closely noted the auditor-general's report, saying: "They (the SMA) are accountable to me.

And there is the difference between reading and understanding.
In regard to paying for half of the stadium, they didn't have to, they just had to agree to move the two AFL businesses they own for half the revenue there. They cashed in on the stupidity of people that voted Labor last election. :)

and part of that contract is that they would assure the best interest of both clubs, which currently they are not doing. Face facts wedgie SANFL is dying it's already labeled as pathetic competition that will soon not be here or will basically be a amateur competition.

lol you do know what a fact is dont you??? who has quoted it as a pathetic competiton.

Most would consider it the most prestigious Aussie Rules competition outside the AFL.

I think the fact its the largest state based competition in the world speaks for itself.

Absolute certainty the SANFL will be around longer than the Power.

Geez a Norwood vs West game gets a bigger attendance than a tribute game to the Power gets.

Umm dude, with West Lakes and half the income from the SMA the SANFL will be here and for a very long time.
Port on the other hand will be very lucky to see out the decade.
If the 2 AFL clubs get more people to Adelaide Oval be it 1 more or 1000 more to games then your contract is fulfilled and the SANFL continue to reap in the money.
The SANFL and its clubs OWN your dying club, enjoy it.
I do agree that the SANFL might in fact die one day if it had to keep propping up the power but that's all changing this year. :D
I promise to give you a wave from the members area next year.

west lakes is going to be a debt to the sanfl more sponsorship from aami, no more afl clubs paying for the staff working there. what would happen if the government, which own adelaide oval, sell it to the afl? The thing you have to remember is the more money the afl clubs makes the more the afl makes, the more the afl makes the bigger the bonus demitriou makes. He will make sure that the power are successful and will be around longer the sanfl.

Pretty amateur of Port to seek a reserves team in a dying competition. Why not just stick the reserves team in to the VFL in the first place, since that's sure to be around past next week...
