Nah mate, Qualifying Final is the second game. Elim first.

Well there is plenty of time between the games so everyone just don't rock up until a minute before the start of the second game[emoji1]

Not that I'm suggesting something be organised, more so wondering if the whole thing has actually run its course & people have 'dropped off' caring?
With no AFL Finals this week, the crowd numbers might well be up as Cows supports (dare I say it, 4000 of them) may actually turn up.
Such a 'result' will no doubt be used by the 'Pro-Reserves Lobby' to support their argument?

All the more reason to stay away.

Yep, I'd much prefer people boycott it. Would love to see the smallest finals crowd ever

I appreciate and agree with that sentiment to an extent, but if people stayed away then it would penalise Sturt and South who both deserve to play finals in front of a decent crowd.

The correct course of action would be to entertain oneself in the Cathedral, the Queen's Head or any similar nearby establishment for the duration of the early trial match, then migrate to the ground just in time for the dinkum game. Let them reconcile the total crowd figure with the empty grandstands.

(edit), ah, beaten to it by other sensible minds. 8)

More likely that the Ravens will have their biggest turnout since Tex played. If SANFL fans don't turn up in protest, the AFFLES will believe it justified that they just take over the SANFL, because their view will be that nobody gives a shit.
Better to turn up and show them how alive we are, and how much we despise them. Just the gesture of say, a supporter wearing a Glenelg scarf, barracking for the Dogs would send a message. Of course such supporters might wish to make their sentiments even clearer, that'd be better than leaving the Dogs to play in front of a Ravens home crowd with no support of their own.

Crows looking forward to their home game as they get to use their massive training rooms and warm up area. Meanwhile Sturt are relegated to the Redbacks rooms designed for a cricket team while the Power rooms go unused.

One of those two clubs wanted the Crowserves in, so they'd hypothetically be a co author of their own 'penalty'.

Not the case with South or, for that matter, the Club that actually has to play the Crowserves.

Miss my first ever Centrals final since I was born this week, taking the kids to the Royal Show instead.

It's probably not best in my life interests to put myself in a position where I may show my anger at the sporting club that I hate the most in world sport!!

It would be cheaper though! Kids are free!

True, but the response is likely to be blank stare, or for those Crows with anger management issues, copping a crocheted shawl emblazoned with 'Tex 13' in the back of the head. ;)

No they don't. This "issue" is killing the league and is the biggest "issue" ever faced by football in this state.
It'd be like telling Poland they took the whole WW2 "issue" too seriously.

and you crows supporters are just too happy to subjugate a 100+ year old league for your own selfish wants.

I understood what you meant. Just be happy you scraped in to the finals mate and enjoy the day rather than the political stuff.

Comparing local footy to WW2...I rest my case your honour.

I didn't compare local footy to WW2.
I compared the relative significance of something being torn apart and killed off. It's a serious "relative" issue. It couldn't be more serious "relatively".
Everyone knows footy much more important than WW2 anyway. ;)

And if a newer, stronger, entity were to treat the AFL and the Crows the same way you have treated this league, you would see things differently.
But history tells us that 85% of you would actually jump on board the new entity. That would happen after 90% of you oppose the formation new entity.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you're either under the age of 35 or have a very bad memory. I just described SA football culture prior to and after the formation of the Crows in the early 90s.
