No, the club likes to operate on 1 year contracts for some reason. I'm not 100% sure why, but I guess it's probably the flexibility from year to year. From what I understand, 1 year contracts across the board is the norm for Centrals these days.

All to do with how much they can afford above the salary cap annually. ;)

OK. So it's only Laird and Gowans, the 3 people who can't commit for more than a year, who we ever hear about. So were Callinan and Boyd put on 1 year contracts when recruited?

Confirmed that Glenelg did ask Godden about coaching Glenelg next season, but the Eagles extended his contract another three years to the end of 2015 before the Prelim Final. Good news for the Eagles!

Think Massie could do worse than approach Jack Juniper from SHOC for 2012

He had a very good year for SHOC didn't he?

I remember seeing his game in the Div 1 GF and thought he was very good. Whether or not he can get back to SANFL League standard remains to be seen.

The Redlegs might be keen to get him back to SANFL footy as well?

Big differance in standards, thought he was average at best for Norwood

Given he would come with a transfer fee to Norwood, I can't see him coming to the Bay again.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Was claimed in last Sunday Mail - sports confidential - that candidates were being approached right up until a week before Massie was appointed! Would love to know where he gets his information from?
