First one to put up my hand and say I have been critical of Luke Jericho in the past. HOWEVER, I believe a Luke Jericho whose only commitment is to Norwood and who isn't trying to serve two masters will only be a more than welcome addition to my club!

So "Clive Baby Clive" (I use to hate it when Paul Blandis would say that on air at 5RPH :?) is going to go around again !!??

How old is he now ??? He'd have to be close to one of the oldest players in the SANFL that will play in season 2009 ???

I cant understand why you would not wait 2 weeks until after the draft to make an announcement like that, quite bizarre in fact, With the roosters I understand Damon White chose to continue his career in the SANFL and withdraw from going in the draft, so yes break that sort of news, but how many other SANFL league clubs are sitting on players subject to the draft and recruiting them but choose not to have a media release.

My thoughts, what do others think?????? :?

So you are saying that tipping your hat now will make Essendon to draft him so Bendigo can still play him when not required by Essendon?

Spelly, No Im not, all Im say is what is another two weeks, at least you have released mcGregor & Cheep so the restless natives have had a fix, most other clubs are still craving for news

I as a supporter would be more disappointed to hear we had him and then lose him in the draft

This raises an interesting question.having got his signature if he does get re drafted .who gets the windfall of him being picked WWt or Bendigo. Of course if the PAPS draft him no worries he plays for WWT.

Skipwoth

I think because of the sacrifices he made for Essendon they deserve to give him a go even if its a year contract

They have dropped of a lot of tried and tired players and to add him to their list would not hurt

Skippy is a good player and even i thought he was harshly treated by the crows and by the way I am a Bomber supporter

Ditto, im assuming that was just something Paul came up with? not a nickname (if thats what it is??) from his teammates.
Trust the process.

Jericho isn't named on Carlton's "train on" list - so could ge still be training with them or isn't that possible? (People seem to think he is training with Carlton atm).

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but do you West folk know that you have signed Shane Birse from St Kilda for 2 years, I think there is also a Ferguson also from St Kilda close to signing. Nathan Brown has offically left the club and is returning to Melbourne.

Let's hope he doesn't play CHB or red'nblack's head will explode.

Shane Birss will be a good pick up at SANFL level. Should be a consistant in and under type midfield who can also go forward and kick goals. Good pick up by the Bloods but only time will tell if he works out or not. We all know the Bloods history with interstate recruitss in recent times, let's hope that things start to turn around for them in this regard...

Jackal i have heard the names that you have mentioned as signed and after talking to Damien Phillips yesterday there are some players signed but they will not be announced till after the draft. So i question whether you are guessing these are the ones who have signed or whether you do know they have signed.

Birss will be a decent pick-up if in fact he has signed with the bloods.

And as wycbloods mentioned, most clubs will not "officially" announce any signings until after this draft period, because as is the case with Skipworth at the Eagles, a lot of players have put pen to paper on the agreeance that they will come to SA if they are not picked up by another AFL club. Do we know whether Birss has nominated for the draft or not ? That would suggest whether he is definitely coming to Westies or not ???
