If you're talking about Carter, hardly a big loss considering he played reserves all year. If he can't motivate himself, it's hardly the coaches fault.

He won't be the last, I can guarantee you that.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Really hard at it, but ordinary skills and terrible decision making. How would he get a game for the premiers if he was struggling to get one for us

Looks like South will be like a Montessouri School next year, No Kanes at all??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Just for you, WCP.
This is what someone posted after the Elimination final.
Hopefully comes back to bite the poster on the bum.

The next coach needs to follow the example of Centrals, Eagles and now South to look at the VFL or below to find the next group of determined, quality people, 20-23 yo's who are prepared to show real leadership. If this means getting rid of some of the current crop, so be it - surely there has to be question marks over retaining the Kane's, Murphy, Sellar, Rudolph seems a shadow of the player he was a few years ago.

Gowans boys have re-signed after yet another season milking all the press over speculation they may be moving back to Vic.
Great news for the dogs though, they both have been and still are true champions of the SANFL.

The boys have built houses here and James will soon marry the sister of team-mate Jay Nash so even if they did retire, they may have stayed in SA still, who knows?

Good luck to them if they do get through pre-season and play on in 2012.

Is that based on anything other than the fact you're a fan of the club and can't imagine anyone leaving?

He would do more for his club than you would do for yours

Given you don't know the first thing about me, that's a really dumb comment. But the point still stands. Theile has made an assertion and I'm wondering whether he actually knows anything or if he's just assuming the guy isn't leaving.

no i dont know anything about you and you know nothing about thiele so who has made a dumb comment
he knows a fair bit about westies and he does know scott turner better than you

^ I heard in good faith that this was what Scott was doing. No ill feeling with the club or anything but something about his wife/partner going over there as a teacher or something and they saw it as an opportunity for a great adventure.
Scott is a good bloke. Its not a competition about who knows him better or anything.
Why do people get so defensive and wound up about these sorts of things. Good on you Scott get out and enjoy the World.

Best reason to sign Chris Kane? Cos Ben is on his way somewhere too. Hasn't decided where yet and negotiations are tougher as he may still be contracted and attracts a significant transfer fee, but he is on the move as I understand it.

You are correct but he is currently doing pre-season with the Bays. Expect that to change soon. It may be that he doesn't play at all but if he does, it won't be for Glenelg.

Jarrod Cotton has been appointed to the Reserves coaching gig at Norwood after Bryan Bienke left the Redlegs and returned to the Port Magpies to lead their seconds.

With big Stephen Doyle being appointed as the Legs' midfield coach, I assume that means he has hung up the boots now from a playing perspective?
