He was recruited to Essendon from East Fremantle, Dutchy.

Thats what I thought but someone was trying to tell me the other day he was from Norwood orginally.

Interesting to note that he is playing cricket up in the Hills so already in Adelaide, no word on where he is playing yet?

Is he playing cricket in South's zone? That might be interesting given South are keen to recruit from their zone!

Massie is a huge and, to my mind anyway, unexpected bonus. Having him full time will make a big difference to the team as he's so versatile. Realistically he's still an AFL quality player cut purely becasue of 'list management' so I'm thrilled he's committed to us. Lee's an unknown prospect but the fact the Dogs were chasing him pretty hard means he must have something, let's just hope he puts his injuries behind him.

On the flip side, losing Bryce would be a massive blow but hopefully there were fallback options if the deal couldn't be made.

Good to see the Andrew Lee signing is now complete. He is a former Tassie U18 player, a key position player with a good mark and long kick. Just what the Redlegs need, so it will be interesting to see how he works out.

As for Massie, what a boost for the club that will be. If I was told I could only have one player from Massie, Campbell or Jericho, my choice would be Massie. He's a genuine on field leader, and I'd even go so far as to appoint him captain if it were up to me ... which it's not :)

I'd have gone for Campbell myself as I reckon he's as much a leader as Massie is but with the harder edge we've missed for too long.

Both would be really nice. :D

That he would, but one would think the Bays would be desperate for key defenders with Sherwood and Rudolph (?) gone...

Has to be one of these guys...

Colm Begley
Robert Copeland
Daniel Dzufer
Haydn Kie
Wayde Mills
Matthew Moody
Chris Schmidt
Phil Smith
Joel Tippett

Don't really know much about any of them other than Schmidt is from Westies and Tipett is the brother of Crows player Kurt.

I think Mills and Moody are big key position players so it could be one of them, but Copeland would be a good pick up I reckon.

Peter Street, the former Geelong and Western Bulldogs bean pole has signed with local Geelong league club St. Josephs...

He said he has nominated for the draft but doesn't hold high hopes of finding a 3rd AFL club with only Brisbane showing slight interest.

He said he was seriously considering a move to SA to join North Adelaide who offered him a very attractive package but with a Geelong born wife and family and a young child of their own, it was decided best to stay in Victoria.

He can be officially crossed off any clubs wish list now...

Anyone shed some light on the rumour Blake Grima has been training with one of the SA Clubs for the last two weeks ?

Also an ex Swan in Adelaide close to signing with the same club, dont have a name for him but it may require a bob cat to dig a bit deeper and get a name

The nominations are
Matthew Beckmans**
Luke Brennan
Aaron Bruce**
Nick Davis
Peter Everitt (ret.)
Peter Faulks
Ben Mathews (ret.)
Nick Smith**
Dean Terlich**
Kristin Thornton

Bar any AFL surprises, reckon you'll get all 3 mate.

Knowing the strong link the Redlegs have with Sydney Swans players, it is very possible they are training down at Coopers Stadium ???
