So why the change in policy?
I can fully understand WWT 'rolling over' - after all, WT did it in 1990.

Clearly, Trigg & Chapman must be the best Salesman in the Country

When I rang the NAFC administration at the time of the "Yes" vote I was told that if the SANFL didn't allow the Crows and Port AFL teams to have reserves teams in our competition two teams, West Adelaide and Sturt would not survive. Ironic that they have won the last two flags and I don't think that the AFL reserves teams have helped either club one iota.

As a reward for changing their vote, North were promised the first minor round game ever against the Crows so that they could be first to benefit from the 4,000 Crows fans.

Any idea what Honest Joe was promised? Must have been something pretty big given how emphatically opposed to the AFL reserves sides he was initially.

Three recruits. Remember they had been banned from recruiting due to salary cap breaches. Because they had three Crows listed players they were allowed to recruit three replacements. Jimmy Allan was one of the recruits and the lad from Brisbane who played in the 2014 premiership was another

for those "in the know", any further word on how the annual review is going? is there a date that we can expect to read about any decisions coming out of it? or do we assume as we havent heard anything for a couple of weeks that nothing will change?

People's thoughts on Scott Thompson being on on-field "setter of playing standards" coach for the Crows state league team next year???

Smart move by the Crows. If you've got someone of his abilities and knowledge, you'd be stupid not to use it. Isn't it similar to what they did with JPod in 2015?

WTF?
Is this a similar thing to the "permits" they got so anyone they damn well wanted could play finals this year?

... And then if they are not allowed, they'll hold their breath, not talk to anyone, throw their toys around, threaten to join the VFL, and while we all beg for them to go, the SANFL will bend over backwards to award them everything they want and more.
I've seen this movie, I know how it ends.

Is there a list somewhere of what you are and aren't allowed to call a particular coaching position?

As long as the title doesn't include some description necessitating him to actually play.

Because someone on the Crows list isn't allowed to play in the SANFL?

I guess I'm just being suspicious. If this ends up being a method of squeezing another player in to the Ravens, instead of a top up, I'll have fair reason to be upset. Maybe I've jumped the gun, but I think it's fair to say they've got a history of getting a foot in the door based on one premise, then behaving against that premise, based purely on the fact that they now have a foot in the door.
I'd wager that this is not just a new title, but the precedent for squeezing better footballers into a side already teeming with dollars far beyond the SANFL cap.

Thompson will play mostly SANFL next season. Of course he can step up to AFL if needed but the Crows have made it very clear that he will mostly be an SANFL player.
