If I can clarify one point , if you sing soccer songs , sing the whole songs that would be good , add to the atmosphere , not just 1 or 2 words. Mate I am being sincere ,good on you and your club for all your success. Just make sure you follow them when things turn a bit.

IIRC it was adapted from England's FIFA World Cup campaign theme of either 1994 or 1990.

England didn't qualify in '94 so there was no song.

The song for Italia '90 was "World In Motion" with New Order (featuring the ever-delightful John Barnes rap).

Fos Williams liked the South Melbourne (ie Sydney) song and did steal it. (in the 50s or 60s from memory)
Its in the Dynasty book.
Of course like most club songs it was originally stolen from another tune.
IIRC in the SANFL Norths song is the only one not stolen and adapted from another clubs.
