We wouldn't have got close to last years top four sides based on last night, but you're spot on, a win is always worth two premiership points.[/quote]
So you are saying would have beaten Sturt then ? :D

What you all forget is you've got to present to recieve. that makes a good f/wd

That goes without saying mate, but I don't think Zorsi could have restricted that any more than he did.

Both teams attacks on top given same number of scoring shots - does any one have the inside 50s for both?

Both defences under the pump at times during the night - Eagles cleaner and more direct - probably had less possessions than the Legs overall.

Attitude of the Eagles was great and now need to carry into this weeks game especially as is a celebration day for WAFC being at Richmond for 50 years.

Spot on CD ... The Eagles efficient brand of footy as opposed to Norwood's inefficiency was the telling factor.

I liked the way the Eagles hunted in numbers too (lol well I didn't like it, but you know what I mean).

You forgot to add that we woldn't have got close to ourselves as one of last years top four sides.

The top four sides last year excluding Eagles is what I meant - so Sturt is the 4th.

I wouldn't say that. Besides Central and more recently North - we haven't had too much trouble against other sides when it matters. If the Eagles play the hard at the contest footy they played Friday night, no reason they can't cause more heartache for Sturt and Glenelg. Some handy inclusions still to come back - Cica, Colville, Schwarze, Petrenko, both Stewarts as well as Wright, Rob Fiacchi and Rimington. It's a long season and I still need convincing, but there was a glimpse of some light at the end of the tunnel Friday night, albeit dim Parade lights...

I thought they were ok, just a bit harder to see if you were at one end of the ground and the play was at the other end.

On the wings you can see everything quite well.

That was just a play on words... but seriously I thought they were fine on Friday night and had no problem viewing from Coopers Hill to Coopers Corner. It was also the first time I've seen a footy game since I got specs - I was in visual bliss.

Ah cool ... I took a coupla mates who hadn't been for a year on they commented on the improved lights as soon as we walked in.

I reckon they are greatly improved, but sometimes we can inadvertently become biased so was good to get some other opinions.

Zorzi usually a very sound performer against the Eags.
Thought Mackie's 1%ers were terrific and showed how desperate we were.
Not a Fitzgerald fan but he is starting to turn me around.
Broadbent did a more than fair job in keeping Aish quiet.
Liked Daveron's attack on the footy, just the sort of player we need for the future.
Fairclough's best game for the year, many 1%ers.
In vs West - Cicca, Schwarze, Hier. Out - Gogoll, Lane (just not enough touches at the moment) and ?
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation

And the fact that no matter what the form, your guys ALWAYS manage to take the points away against us ....unless it is a practice match.

Something is definitely amiss if Sturt doesn't take at least two points from the three minor round matches this year.
