Timmy's proved it was a dummy spit at Strut.

Good luck to him at Norwood :)

Makes round 11 more interesting. With Timmy out to prove to Ricky that he should have kept him and to say " you were wrong Ricky"

Firstly good luck to Tim.

The fact that he believed he should be dictating terms to Sturt was a little disappointing. But, if he believes that he's still a worthwhile contributor at league level and Sturt don't then I entirely respect his decision to make the switch.

What I can't respect or understand is why Norwood would agree to this. I'm unable to see the benefit to them.

I will be very interested to see how many games of league footy he ends up playing this year...

Perhaps some guidance and teachings to some of their young rovers?

Gee whiz, it seems there's a lot of bitterness amongst Sturt supporters about Tim's signing with another club - the only word not spoken has been "betrayal" but it seems that is how many are feeling - regardless of whether he is "up to it" or not.

If he plays for another club it shouldn't detract from everything else he has done for you.

I agree Squawk. He did a great job at Sturt but unfortunately I thought he made the right decision in March. He should get a game at Norwood though.

Very well said. I'm very disappointed in the attitude from some Sturt people on this forum towards a guy who busted his guts for many seasons for the Sturt Football Club. I guess it's their twisted way of saying "thanks".

I didn't hear them criticising the likes of Perrie, Cubillo, McGlone etc for wanting to play for another club. Double standards perhaps?

Correct me if Im wrong but the Legs defeated Port last week didnt they?
Why would you want a washed up hack coming into your side in say 3 weeks.
Maybe Norwood need his long penetrating 35m kick to get them out of trouble, but it doesnt really matter because they have just elevated themselves to no.1 LAUGHING STOCK. :D :D

I can't say I've seen many Sturt supporters complaining about Tim's descision, surprised maybe and confused but I don't think anyone has bagged him, it seems that this fantasy is that of Adelaidehawk and Squawk which seems to suit them both pretty well, you guy's must do alot of dreaming.

Again Mal, I agree with you, it's a good point.
There must be alot of twisted wankers around this forum who just don't seem to be able to give a bloke credit that's due. If you don't like him then don't comment, go back to staring into your navels and thinking just how great you all are.

as they say your a long time out of football when you retire.
obviously tim still thinks he has something to offer.
goodluck to him only he knows whether he can contribute or not
one thing that amazes me on this site is all the negativity.
the way some people post about people in this case tim they must have played 500 league games and won 10 magarey medals.
have an opinon by all means but remember how it would feel if the shoe was on the other foot

I think there is a big 'stick-it-up-Rick' factor here.

Fantasy? Dreaming? Hardly.

I suspect that a lot of the "confusion" expressed relates to Sturt fans wondering why he did not finish with Sturt but decided to start again somewhere else after 253 games. It's like his service is tainted for wanting to do that and that he himself is tainting Sturt by making that decision.

Good thing you got Jack Oatey though - now, where did he come from? No matter that he coached Sturt to all those flags, at our club he is still a legend, a Hall of Famer and a member of our Team of the Century. Brings new meaning to the phrase "Bring Back Jack", that's for sure.
