Now comes the truly nervous part of the evening for North fans ... returning to their cars and hopefully finding them in one piece

lol, the smart one's stayed at home!

"Sounds" like a good hitout, I'd imagine both sides would have played a lot of youngsters in the last term in prepration for next week.

Yeah i imagine they would have done that, a lot of goals in the last term so both teams would be happy. Pity we lost but it doesnt mean anything, it would be nice to knock off the Eagles next week

As did west at the 10 min mark of the 3rd qtr against NAd

Postby dash61 » Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:19 pm

Wedgie i know you and your rooster fanatics who saw westies last week were a little impressed. Also we did take haynes , hollands and proplycia off and run some youngsters and our fitness ran out in our first serious hit out.. After a VERY DARK year last year i think the Bloods could get under guards and be the real smokie, the list is deep and strong unlike others with a great 20-25

I agree. IMHO the jury's still out on if they can compete in the season proper against Central, North, Port and the Eagles but I give them a real shot at 5th spot.
5th spot could come down to injuries in 2006 and a bit of luck.
As I said before and have said all along since Rehn left there is no way West will be bottom in 2006.

Well as one who is "rarely" over the top" Maybe fifth would be under achieving?

But if you gonna be a bear, be a grizzly. put up and give it. Lose and accept it. God I love this.

Hey Booney. have you bought that slab yet. You can present it to me infront of the grandstand as the siren blows.

Shit we will have to drink it,! dont reakon it can be classified as personal luggage on the flight home.

My educated guess even before the eaglehaslanded's weekly update would be that the preseason premiership table would have the Eagles on top with North second.
Certainly sets up the match of the round beautifully next week at Prossie in Rd 1!

My uneducated assessment at this stage

Postby dash61 » Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:41 pm

1 Centrals : Finallt their list is not 30-35 good footballers but back to 20-25
2 Norths : Been up a long time and running and is not a young list
3 Eagles : Small forward line, strong midfield and little really known
4 Westies : Good list of up to 30, AFL players will get runs ie porplycia, jericho, pettigrew, ezard, bonnaddio, welsh and walsh
5 Port : Good list but goes to 20 only, with injuries look very fragile
6 Souths : Very unknown and a young list and now look like they may be going to offer those poor south supporters something at norlunga at last
7 Sturt : Financially struggling and hard to get good quality recruits but a proud club
8 Norwood : same boat as POOR sturt
9 Gay Bays : More faction fighting than a political party but very good kids

Rumour Of The Day: Is M Campbell from the Roosters going to get his marching orders next week

Long Time?????

Postby dash61 » Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:55 pm

Norths were up for the darwin clash and running hard and ball skills ready, north are 7 weeks more ready than the rest, lets hope andrew and his team can keep them up for another 24 weeks plus finals and minimise injuries and manage players well as those HORRIBLE CROWS DO,and im not a power but a bomber supporter

Ohh when you say up you mean training for a while... surely other clubs have been training hard for as long as we have? Just because we played one trial game in Darwin doesnt mean we are 7 weeks ahead.
