obviously never met ports standards either, i saw him kick a match winning goal one night after or on the siren (possibly against port cue spelly) & i think he went from country boy to big head in that one week as he seemed to be too cocky after that imho
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I think this is the match:

Round 2 2005
Sturt 3.0 6.1 10.4 13.7 (85)
Port 4.5 7.7 8.11 11.13 (79)
Adelaide, 5811

In fact, it could have been two weeks later:

Round 4 2005
Sturt 3.3 7.5 9.8 10.13 (73)
North 4.0 7.2 10.4 11.5 (71)
Adelaide, 5650

Was definately against us, but I dont remember it being right on the siren. I thought it was a minute or so to go. Was just about his only kick for the night as well.

EDIT: Just found an old review I did for the match and yeah it was about 20 seconds before the final siren.

Didn't even realise that Port had given Jarjoura the chop as well.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Greg Walker , small weak little rover from Perth , played for Eagles in early 90s ( tried ! ) . And two other recruits from Sturts Reserves some years ago , Prescott & Barker ! Rudi Frugo from Brisbane ( head case ) didnt even see out the preseason in the mid 90s for Eagles . Gogell this year though is right up there with our weakest , Centrals dont let them go if their any good .... obviously !

Plenty of shockers here...
Stephen Carey to West Torrens, I remember him chasing Gilbert McAdam in his first year...akin to the Coyote and the Road Runner. Carey played in an AFL premiership the previous season and 3 matches later was too old and too fat to get a kick in the SANFL. Played about 8 games.
Sean Disbury GGG, from Norwood to West Torrens...shocker but a nice head of hair. 2 games.
Derek Andrew Sturt to West Torrens...wow he could just not play. About 6 games.
Shane McGrath, Hawthorn to West Torrens...came over as Dermott Breretons understudy, went home as Derek Andrews mentor...about 20 games (2 good ones).

Max 'Chicken' George Centrals to Torrens
Toia a joke at the Eagles and North
Nigel Palfreyman - Bears to Eagles -most gutless AFL player I've seen
Trevor Hill - North to Torrens very disappointing

Yep, thought they might be saviours. Simon Dennis was one of the many teasers we had at full forward in the dark era, played a couple of good games when they rocked up and faded away.

Clay Chaplin comes to mind as well.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
