Good call... But I was expecting to read about a SANFL match between North and Sturt on this thread, not, Kernahan, keyboard warriors, and other trolling...

Apparently, it wasn't a good game of footy, so there you go.

Hinge had flashes of good play, but he's a bit of a stobie pole... I lost count of the number of times he was stationary within close vicinity of the play. Not quick to get up off the deck either... He has always promised so much and I'd love to see him deliver.

Having said that I took my little fella to the Sturt Junior Member Day today and Hinge was a really top bloke. Got involved with the kids, spoke with the parents, took the tours of the changerooms, etc.

Thanks to all involved at the SFC for a brilliant morning. :D

What a great weekend, NOT!!!!! Norf were pathetic for the first half. K Thompson would have to be in Sturts best players without a doubt. So many basic, stupid, half-baked, moronic turnovers, I lost count. He had a stinker along with most others.

Best game by J Allan, singlehandedly kept Norf sort of in it. Sturts three posters in the first quarter kept Norf in it aswell.

Backed it up by going to Footy Park to see the Crows last game at home , Enough said.

Only up side was Broadview beating Salsibury Nth in the "C" grade

I didn't see any of the first half but by all accounts and the scoreboard it must have been bad HOWEVER for as bad as it was we still could have and should have won!

We get back into the game in the third, missed a couple of easy shots, all set up for a micraculous comeback win and then serve up a farcical 3-9 with 6 points in a row in the last quarter! That is the second time this season our players choked at the Northern End of Unley kicking for goal when the game was on the line.

As poor a first half that we had, good sides would have won that game given the dominance of possession in the 2nd half. We pretend that we are good but the reality and the ladder say otherwise.

In all my years of watching North I have only seen on very rare occasions the killer instinct even look like emerging at Prospect. It pops out every now and then and teases us then goes and hibernates for a few years.

P.S. Well done to Sturt - we are their bitches except for J. Allan who is the only player deserving of wearing the North jumper on the weekend (and every other weekend!).
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Were certainly fortunate to win it and wouldn't have wanted game to go for another 3 minutes.

Richard Tambling was certainly a very good player for us and Brodie Martin has really turned it around after looking completely out of sorts a month ago. Allan for North appeared to not be having his usual influence up until half time but he certainly turned it on after that while it appeared we had no one to go with Stewart. Given Stewart's form in second half I was a little surprised that perhaps Alleway wasn't moved up forward as I felt it really would have stretched us.

As an aside, the club hosted what apparently was a very succesful Ladies day that's special guest was D grade celebrity Gretel Killeen who apparently was mortified that the club photographer would dare take photographs of her. He was only doing it for the benefit of the club year book but she must have thought he was working for the No Idea or something and even if he was why they'd want photos of her I don't know
