I'm sure I saw him standing in the centre square for portions of the North game contesting the ruck contest. Traditionally that's a role taken by whoever was playing as the ruckman at the time. Could well be he's taken that role only in the last fortnight, I've not seen much of the reserves bar the final minutes for most of the year.

Yes he did do some ruck work on Saturday.

My bad Graham, but he wouldn't be an option in the league side, just not big enough.

Bring back 'Buckets'! Seriously, he has been the architect for some of the big GF wins.

I watched the highlights of the game and I have to agree with the Dogs fans re Sutherland's report, it was lucky to be a even a free let alone a report. It looked like a hip and shoulder that got Thring near his shoulder / back rather than anywhere near his head. He wasn't injured, he took a short while to get up but I think he was more winded than anything else? If Sutherland had hit his head then he would have been down for alot longer! I see the League has offered him 1 week? Surely Centrals will appeal that?

I would be pis$ed off if a North player got reported for that bump.

He won't get off *, no matter how trivial or minor. Oh well, Boyd in ruck it is then!

Exactly how I saw it too. Bump to the SIDE of Thring's body.

going very well, his a tad undersized to play on the big KPP which he has had to do this year, but you can tell his played alot of basketball as his good at positioning himself in the marking contest.

His use of the ball is incredible for someone with such limited football experience his been very composed and generally makes good decisions.

I wouldnt be surprised if he gets drafted at the end of the year but at AFL level he will have to become more of a running half back flanker.

Also will add he probably would have played his best football if we had Yves Sibenlaer, Hardy and Hayes in the backline as well, he could take an opponent who suits him better every week rather than occasionally being on a much bigger opponent as has happened for most of the year.

He looks quite promising. Not sure about whether any AFL scouts will be interested in him, but I think he'll do ok at SANFL level. He went forward a couple weeks ago and looked more at home than down back but his kicking and contested marking need some work still.

Deceptively quick as well off the mark which allows him to break away from an opponent easily
