Oh no, does this mean no more man cuddles from out North?
Sal lining up for the Maggies in Foxtel Cup this Saturday. Beautiful.
Hope Gary Metcalf never borrows my car. He'll charge me a Transfer Fee if I want to lend it to my sister.
Your analogy is wrong. You choose to ignore the main point. Salopek is not a (was not) a Port Magpies player, he was aligned to Glenelg.
Port Magpies via their affiliation with the Power are not supposed to gain any on field advantage over the other SANFL teams. Clearly this is not the case (more lies). Port Magpies are not supposed to have any greater claim on a Port Power listed player (other than Magpie "originals") than any other SANFL team -this is meant to be a level playing field. Glenelg did not "borrow" Salopek from the Magpies, of course a transfer fee should be due. Sounds like some Magpie supporters are expecting more "freebies". So from your analogy not only can the Magpies snipe any "disgruntled" Power player they like from an SANFL club, but also they shouldn't be expected to pay a transfer fee?
If Gary Metcalf and yourself worked for the same employer and you all had a car each, fairly allocated, sounds like you'd expect him to give you his car for free (even if it had been unreliable recently) and you'd probably expect all the other employees cars and them to pay for your petrol.
To your first statement, it's probably not so much about "man cuddles". I was asked by a Power employee if he gave me some free tickets would (could) I take my family to a Power game? He was doing the right thing trying to gain support for the Power in the AFl, and increase crowd numbers.
Now I hope they get flogged in the Foxtel Cup. I'm not a fan of liars.
