Colville was given the job to tag him and did so well Clayton couldn't even get a car park. Would be interested to know why both of these players weren't playing today after being named on Friday?

Hier was fantastic today. I'm very happy with both him and Salter as future key position back line players. Both have been a bonus coming from the juniors.

Lomas was terrific. All played well really. Eagles did not lose a game at Woodville Oval this year which is a great effort.

Still have Inkster, Colville, Knights, Skipworth to add as well as some players coming back from long term injury in Hall, R Fiacchi, Dabrowski.

Anyone know the reserves score and how Hall and Dabrowski went?

I'm not that a confident sort of person. I get concerned whether or not the side that turned up at Noarlunga plays.

No Colville no Inkster and we won by how much ? What a rabble Port Adelaide became after 1/4 time and they should have had us toast in the first quarter 3 easy goals that they put through as points !!
Brodie Lomas was an inspiration today
Passador does struggle against Ahcee
Plus the seconds destroyed Port as well , funny at 1 stage we were last and they were top I think our seconds just knocked Port Adelaide seconds out of the finals !!

Good to see the seconds win. That should put them through to the finals which should help the league team as well. Port need an AhChee at both ends of the ground.

How bad is Inkster's hammy?

Poor umpiring [favoured eagles]
Port were useless.
Im glad I went, LOMAS was sensational.

Agree mal 100%.

I went as a neutral supporter and found the umpiring very ordinary but favoured the Eagles. How can a Port player get decked and the Eagles get the free.

Waterhouse bludged all day and looked as though he did not want to be there.

Port had no system and just bombed the ball into the forward line.

Very tense at 3Q time with many Port supporters going off their nut about the umpiring. One idiot yelled F & C barage for about 5 mins to the umpire until he was told to shut up.

Good crowd but bloody windy.

Enjoyed my day at another SANFL game where I could just sit back and relax and not ride on every kick, handballetc.

Would agree with those votes in the league. Pedler is back to playing really good footy after a slow start to the season. Treeby played his best game since the back injury he copped against Central and looked as if he was moving freely.

They had a 1st qtr. Are you on drugs or something mate. They were kicking with a 4 goal breeze and kicked 2.4 to 2.1. That's hardly very flash footy. Port are gone.

Aparently a knee injury. Don't know the severity. Probably more of a precaution I think.

Well Bernie Vince come from country middle of last season cemented a spot in the league side, played in a GF then was drafted by the crows, so nothing would surprise me.

I hope that's all it is. He (and other players if need be) can have a likely two weeks rest, anyway - against Sturt and if we get the minor premiership.

If its the free on the wing I think the umpire paid over the shoulder If its not that free I can not help you because the umpiring Im afraid was very bad towards both teams IMHO .BUT they did pay the frees both ways in both grades if you hit the players arms going for the mark you gave away the free if you rode the player into the ground when you tackled him you gave away the free if you threw the guy onto the ground you gave away the free.
To be fair this is only the second or thrid match I have seen frees like this paid the other games had centrals playing in them and not always did the games invovle the EAGLES. This appears to be the way that the rules are being interupted if Port or whoever can not adjust then get used to giving away frees . But when you are given a free and then hit your opponet in the head and the free is reversed dont blame the umpires No 6 for Port I think it was did this and then was dragged because it cost his side a goal.
Port tried the bully boy tactics didnt work and they didnt have a plan B simple as that plus kicking the ball long and high into your forwad line with a lose Peddler played into the EAGLES hands ,Waterhouse looked great flying for the ball but thats all he could do beacuse after 1/4 time he could not out muscle you Zak in fact he out muscled out ran and out played the old has been !!
It was a great crowd, fact for the CENTRALS fans reading this thread first time I have ever had my bag checked at Woodville oval must have been because the PORT CROWD cause trouble !!
