On that basis 3/4 of all SANFL players might as well give up. Not all SANFL players are playing with the goal of making an AFL list. As far as McGregor is concerned, he has been excellent. It is difficult for small forwards to consistently kick multiple goals so of course he is going to have days when he doesnt hit the scoreboard. But even on those occasions he has contributed through his tackling and by applying pressure on the defenders. And when our team is not playing well and getting beaten, he is one player who never gives up and continues to work hard.

Might have to go have a look when he plays next week. Hope it's not raining apparently a guy who's only 150cm doesn't play well in bad conditions.... He will definitely have a successful career if he can't play well if there is a bit of rain!!

Just stop mate, all you seem to have against him is he 'thinks hes better than he is'.. How do you know how good he thinks he is. The kid has played 30odd League games, is having a superb year and got picked in the state squad.. You're judging him off 1 game against Sturt in terrible conditions when not many players beside Wundke really stood out.. Im assuming that means you weren't at the game against your beloved Redlegs when he ran rings around your mob.. Lets not forget who has self advertised themselves as playing League footy and State footy, so maybe its not Loccy who has a fairly high opinion of themselves.. Ship off champ

Haha he will be right. I'll stop so he doesn't get to upset.... Look forward to seeing how he fairs in his next couple of games. Tips for players, don't leave the ground if your playing on him, let him try and take hangers, just don't let him sneak out the back, if you do that you will have success. If he gets possessions outside of the 50 you have done your job. He's an okay field kicker but not going to destroy you.

Nah being my age he's a fair bit younger than me. Ultimately i have just got sick of the love affair around the kid, look i think he's an okay small forward, but the way he is talked up is just over the top. He's ultimately to unfit and i dont think smart enough to play midfield and for a guy that size you need to be able to do that. Oppostion players dont play him well enough.

This is my point, he's played 34 games and all the talk about him you'd expect him to be on an AFL list . Unfortunately thats a dream he will never acheive, to short, not skilled enough, not smart enough to paly midfield and his mindset i reckon is pretty bad if he doesnt get a couple early.

Lets turn the table here. Clearly this Ramrod is a future SANFL coach of considerable talent. Definitely has all the answers and as a former player and State player of obvious note will no doubt be under consideration for he next Hall of Fame intake. If the only input that you have is to down grade a player who isn't't doing too bad for us , the SHUT the FECK up and get off this forum

I seem to remember another small forward who played for the Eagles and for years in the draft was overlooked by everyone for being too small to be able to succeed . Well he finally got his chance when he was picked up high in the draft. He has done quite well.
He has AFL premiership medallions and is highly regarded by his team. His name Matthew Stokes
You cannot tell who is going to turn out as a quality player just because of his size
