Most Norwood fans would probably now agree. Raised it earlier , see what happens I suppose.

Au contraire, Jack needed Sturt to realise his true potential. Norwood folk were too stupid to understand what he wanted to do.
Just telling it like it is, don't shoot the messenger now.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Norwood's most successful era was played against teams representing banks, and ephemeral social groups that came and went sometimes in the space of a year. There were also less teams back then, significantly increasing the chances of finishing top. I dare say all you needed was a club that competed more than three years in a row, with one organised training session a week to be in the upper echelon of that time.
So to keep the comparison relevant, let's say that in the time following Oatey's departure from Norwood, both the Legs and the Blues have won 8 premierships a piece. Lucky for you the last few years have been the second most successful in your leg-warmer-wearing history, otherwise you'd be trailing us Blues.

So without Oatey you'd be shite yeah? Like I said a thousand posts ago. But yeah, you factor in our 25 year premiership drought and your most successful era, we are even. Nice job.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a few others from the Parade wander over to Unley Oval soon.

Also includes our most unsuccessful era. Just choosing recent history over that recorded on tablets.
And, as I said, Oatey was Much better surrounded by people who could understand him.
