Nor sure why Butcher'd be allowed to leave the Porterhouse. The again, he does shank 'em so I dunno why other clubs would (b)risket.

I hope he doesn't get diced. Perhaps if there's a spot on the flank he might be able to fillet.

Forgotten forward Butcher in for his chop? Someone at afl.com.au is a fan of safooty.net.

It also seems he's an end-of-year (once injuries have taken their toll, and/or the Pahhhhr selectors are getting desperate) specialist. He peaks at the right time to drag it out again. Every person on SA Footy, and loads of SANFL key position defenders, must hope that Butcher gets a 12 month contract extension from the Pahhhhr. You know, guys—Jay Schulz is on the way out; you need some backup option KPFs; big men take a long time to develop, and he's just coming into his peak now; and sundry other list management cliches.

This is going to be South Australian footy's Travis Cloke story.

Yes. Some say he might not be picked up because he's getting on a bit with a few GRAZE in his hair and a JERKY kicking technique.

On the other hand I think it would be an UDDER disgrace, and an inCOWculable error to not give him a go.

Hard to see what the outcome will be, it's a question of irRIBsistable force MEATting imMOOvable object.

POUND for POUND, it wasn't a great performance from a SEASONed player out on the GROUND. BEEFore you GRISTLE or criticise him, keep in mind the conditions were tough and marks were RARE.

Think you'll find it was a much more complete performance than that.

7 disposals, 1 mark, 1 free for, 1 free against, 1 hit out, 1 point, 1 goal assist, 1 tackle. 2 I50's. I don't care who you are, that's a complete performance for Johnny, a tick in every column!!!

On that performance alone it should see him get another 3 year deal at the Power! ;)

C'mon Days.......they learnt their lesson with Hartlett and Hinkley so Butcher will only get a 3 year extension! :D

Nah, 4 goals out of 25 from full forward. That'd be his career highlight to date.

6 goals in his 2nd game was his career highlight....expectations from that game probably destroyed his career.

Didn't know about that game. But only 6 kicks from that match, if I have understood it correctly?
Funny listening to the commentator so convincingly calling him "the future".
