Cheers for that r&b, I'll hopefully be catching up with Glenn Elliott tonight and will put the question to him.

Anyone wanting to sponsor it just needs to fork out 40k per year.
Some of the clubs didn't see the value in spending 40k per year on 40 kids plus parents that usually rock up for the mini league and then leave straight after it.

Ian Jnr got to play his 1st (and now last  ) mini league game this year, Eagles V Glenelg @ Thebby, he was looking forward to what should have been his last, and Giffo Jnrs 1st game in 2007. There is a lot of not so happy kids out there now.

Surely if the coke sponsership was redirected away from mini league, someone elses could have been redirected to the mini league.

So what if parents leave straight after? Some of them won't. "See the value" Does any of the clubs currently pay any money towards mini league? It's only $4,444 each club if nothing is already spent on it.

Hey, dont ask me, Im just conveying the consensus of the clubs on (not all clubs).
The other train of thought was kids only get 3 mins to have a kick at the quarter time breaks and will enjoy having a longer kick at half time.

I know that. :)

Put it this way - 7200 in crowd figures for next year will be lost.

And also, there is that suggestion again - have half of the oval for the Mini League, half for kick to kick.

Just because some clubs cbf'ed with this, doesn't mean we can't take the matter further.

I don't think any clubs were against it as it was in its former existence, the 40k was the major factor.

Obviously all too hard for the boys in the offices at AAMI. What with all that corporate stuff they have to organize for their two beloved franchises, they obviously have no time for the "REAL SANFL" teams and competition.
