GILL is a handy player and did have a good year for north but im quite content in the fact that we dont have him.

Quite possibly one of the more stupid assessments by anyone on this or any other forum in a long time. It may come as a shock to you that Gill was offered more money to go to the bays at the end of 2004 but choose North because our approach and overall professionalism was way ahead of the bays.

Quite content you don't have him hey? What Key possie players have the bays got outside their AFL contigent that makes you so content? You saw what happened last year when Sellar, then Gibbs and then Willetts were not available and looking at your lack of big "in's" this year. I would be thinking you will be praying each Thursday night that you get Willetts and Sellar back to play the two key possies - CHB and CHF because you cupboard looks a little thin, not to mention your rucks look a little light on with out Matty Clarke who gave your club great service? You would love to have a bloke like Gill who can play back, foward and has even played second ruck at North. I'm sure your "mental block" will wear off soon!

P.S. You might beat us in the up coming trial because North has never taken trial games overly seriously from the point of always fielding the strongest team possible but let's see who finishes higher at the end of the real stuff?

Good attitude at your club, once again, hard to see why they're the only team in the league not to play finals this century

That part warms the cockles of my heart................

WILLETS is a huge loss for us we just cant COPE without him, he would be our most influential player we have had in YEARS

That's good to hear but you will have to invest in another half of a brain to make a full one if you want to come on board at Prospect!

So you're after the players that North reject like Herbert but you're not interested in players like Gill?
Geez, with that sort of philosophy I find it really hard to work out why the Bays haven't played finals football this century.
You're not the Glenelg recruitment officer by any chance?

we had players that fitted into our forward line structure...........we dont rely on big names!!!

sturt were walking a fine line with the salary cap not that long ago........

i like the fact that MITCHELL is in the forward pocket, but the chances oh him lining up in the position he belongs I believe is highly remote!!!!!!!!

any finals action will be good because we should make an impact, but i believe we have the side to be really competitive and finish right up the top.

Normally i am pessimistic (spelling  ) but im just really confident this season ahead.

Maybe i have set myself up for a big fall when we finish closer to the spoon then the cup :!:

Personally I think we look better with mitch coming off half back, in the 2nd quarter of the last game a couple of rebounds from Mitch led to goals and I was starting to calculate the cost of another trip over for finals

However a tag was put on to him and South got on top and the rest as they say is history.

I understand her prefers to play up forward, but hell we look better when he running off half back and roosting it deep into the forward 50......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Sellar at CHB would be an interesting one, could be a direct replacement for Willits who i think will still play a bit at the Bays this year.

I think the Crows would probably prefer him to continue his development in the forward line, but then again then may see some merit in playing him down back to hone his defensive skills for when hes playing a key position in the AFL in the next 2 or 3 years (obviously its Glenelg's call though as to whether he plays forward or back, but if he does play in defence it could be de javu all over again).
