Life FM weren't sure but they thought that Len's grandson who played ressies today got chaired off at the end of the game.
I bet Len's got a big smile on his face wherever he is at the moment.

Thank god we went with him over some of the other candidates. There is a very noticeable difference in the mind set of the players since Rick has arrived. Well done to the "Sturt Brainstrust" for making the correct decision. Just goes to show that those with AFL experience (as players) don't necessarily make the best coaches - see bottom three sides...

It takes brains to be a coach not just raw talent and reflexes. Great footballers don't always make great coaches.

Too right, well done Sturt and Rick McGowan. But all you have done is beaten west and glenelg oh and the 5th, 4th and 2nd team of last year who had only won every game this season leading up to last weekend. Nothing earth shattering.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

this season is certainly more exciting than last year (duh) and seeing the youngsters develop and the senior players returning to form is a testament to what rick and his team have done.

Chambers is in career best form, nelson is a favourite for the margarey and feast is revisiting 2002. Using Soccers as a pinch hitter on saturday was a masterstroke. The introduction of the young players at the right times has been great.

Its just refreshing to have this energy around the club and for all grades to be doing well is just fantastic. Hope it continues!!!

'' BLUEDOG McGOWAN '' is the Blues MESSIAH a champion bloke and a very astute coach if he gets the Blueboys in the finals, which i think he will he will be coach of the year.

Another factor in the Blues revival is the dominant and leading goal kicker in the comp No. 7 and also the new desire to win at Bluesland instilled by ''BLUEDOG MCGOWAN''

Wonder how long it will be before there is a smorgasboard of coaches who have had something to do with Centrals during the current era. Clarkson at Hawthorn and Ricky are sure showing the benefits of it. Jonah also had a hand in Sydney winning a flag. Reminds me of the Oatey era at Sturt and his proteges such as Nunan.
Cheers!
