I enjoyed the game today, ironically Willets was the missing link in Glenelg's attack. He single handedly inspired his team with the mark he took in the 2nd qtr and kicked a check side goal from 40 metres out and really enjoyed it in front of the Snouts (who were all over the place today, do I detect some dissention in the ranks?).
From then on Westies were never going to lose.

Glenelg should have been 10 goals up at half times but Westies played direct and Mickan had Glenelg playing backwards and sideways, I thought I was watching the AFL for a while till I saw the way the Bays missed their backwards/sideways kicks.

Sorry to the Bay's supporters but he murdered Westies with some of his decisions.
The S.A.N.F.L should have a good hard look at this bloke.

If it helps firstblood williams is 2nd in our best player poll amongst teh Snouts ATM.

Someone has even given him BOG for us.....

12.20 FFS... Missing regulation shots from 30 metres out. Poor kicking is bad footy.

15.5, having been something like 12.2 at 3/4 time FFS... Hard to miss the goals when you're strolling into the goalface with not an opponent in cooee, or taking an uncontested mark bang in front, having gotten a 5 metre lead on your direct opponent. Poor defensive pressure is bad footy.

Without seeing the stats, I'll wager that Glenelg was ahead in most if not all departments (certainly in bloody handballs). Would have had 75% of the play. Doesn't count for squat when you're 3 points down on the one stat that matters.

Weak, Bays. Really weak. Easily the weakest team I've seen all year. The whole team was slack, but at least none of 'em had a hair slug.

Nah, its just that I witness week in week out for the last 6 to 7 years that you can have 2 umpires people have never heard of but if you have Richard Williams in the 3 umpire rotation he'll cop the flack for all 3 umpires bad decisions.

Not good.

Weird day though, I thought you guys got killed by the umps all day yet I thought the Bays were a 5 goal better side on the park.
I haven't got a lot of time for the Weed's coaching normally but he got the boys to play long and direct which IMHO was the only reason West won today and good on him for outcoaching Mickan.
Glenelg's backwards/sideways crap was awful to watch and I even made mention of it in the trial game I saw them play.

Time for another coach Glenelg. :?

I'm not sure on his overall game but Willits mark and check side goal from 40 out in front of the Snouts turned the game today IMHO.
Bays forwards didn't seem to want to lead all day and IMHO if they'd had Willits in their forward line today making leads unlike their forwards who didn't seem to want to move outisde of the goalscqure they would have won comfortably today. :?

That figure does also include out on the fulls though, of which West had their fair share.

Very true Wedgie - he cops it the most because he is the highest profile, most recognized umpire in the SANFL.
Also, he was the umpire victimized today because he was the one in charge when that string of holding the ball decisions weren't paid against Glenelg half way through the last quarter.

Richard Williams shouldnt be umpiring .

The Byran Bienke incident was a disgrace. Only got off cos the other umpire threatened action if he got done.

Williams is a duckhead cant wait until he goes.

Can't be any worse than Shaun Rehn's coaching.
