Him being young is one of the reasons he probably doesn't want to go to the game and fair enough too.
If I was young I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Elizabeth at night especially on his birthday.
He has legitimate reasons and he'll remain safe, leave the poor kid alone.

I'm loving this thread  Swampie v Wharfie, PAM v PAP, what a hoot. As far as the game that night, I'll be there for sure and I have no problems with taking my kids along (8 & 11). I've never encountered any problems at the ground (except for getting a drink at times) or witnessed any incidents.

I recall that incident and the club dealt with the individual that very week. Banned from all games IIRC. However I can deny that they aren't a member of the CS but were sitting in the vacinity.

What a laugh this all is. I can remember times in the 70s as an early teenager when there was real trouble at the games.

These days it's a family affair with the odd pissed idiot who raises about 1,000 posts about very little.

Meanwhile we have PAP pooping his pants at 21 about problems he has largeley created himself. What a wimp!

Ive seen much worse things in recent years than I ever saw in the 70s or 80s, I didn't see one incident in the 70s or 80s.
Elizabeth under lights is a much worse proposition than Elizabeth at day and luckily for 8 club's supporters they've never been there when their team has beaten Central under lights.
No need for name calling if he makes a decision to play it safe when he's witnessed the things he's seen.
A mate of mine who's only a little fella almost got mugged by a gang of Central fans a couple of years ago when walking to his car harmlessly. If his car had been another 10 metres away he would have been in strife.
I wouldn't want my son going out there by himself when he's 20 at night.

Perhaps instead of just calling him names people should actually promote the game like the original poster did instead of just turning it into an embarassment?
If noone had stooped to name calling then all the unsavoury events that have occurred wouldn't have been brought up.
The people calling PAP names are doing more to disservice the advertising of this game than anyone else.

I agree, hence why I included them with 7 other teams for a total of 8 that havne't beaten Central under lights.
Why do you say only 7, has someone else beaten them there under lights that I can't remember?

I'll list them.
Club's supporters that haven't been there when they've beaten Central under lights:
Central
Glenelg
Norwood
Port
Sturt
South
West
Eagles

8.

As I said, Im assuming one other club has beaten Central out there if Sam says its 7?? (And I apologise for being wrong if that's the case)

Centrals dont play Centrals at night at Elizabeth in League games, so if its just a list of footy clubs that havent beaten Centrals at night at Elizabeth, there should be a few 1000 more on that list.

Why include 1000s of others, I don't see your point, surely only the 9 SANFL clubs supporters would be interested in any issues at Elizabeth?

My point is and I thought it was an obvious one is that sometimes supporters get more angry/agro when they lose and only 1 current SANFL club's fans had to endure that at Elizabeth from Centrals supporters on a Saturday night game and the fans of the other 8 current SANFL clubs didn't/dont. (Centrals fans never will have to, the other 7 clubs fans might have to at one stage or another in the future)
Its a pretty simple point, you seem to be agreeing with me that only one SANFL club has beaten Central at Elizabeth.
9 - 1 = 8
or
1 + 7 = 8

I don't know how to make it any simpler?

Fair enough, i just wouldn't include Centrals as a possability when it cant happen.

You wouldn't include them as a possibility of it not happening as it can't happen to them?
That is weird weird weird logic!
I didn't include them as a possibility, I included them in an impossibility as it can't happen.
Dude, where did you go to school? :?

PS The way the Dogs are going at the moment it might not be a possibility for the other 7 clubs for a while yet either!

Judging by this year the only team likely to beat them is themselves - not any of the other 8 clubs. :(

Here we have a club out there trying to build up a game, and we have people squabbling over petty myths.
