Bloody Power.
Even after my Cats flogged them at Footy Park and my beloved Roosters flogged the Magpies at Alberton a POWER failure still stops the ABC from covering all of the game today, missed 7 mins of the 3rd quarter.
Ironic when they get a Power failure at Alberton whilst the Magpies are getting flogged.

To be fair North were missing quite a few players today.

Hart, Coulter, McIntyre, Walker, Stribling, Martin, White, Weatherley and Motlop to name a few.
(Can I include Gatto as well?)

I watched a good portion of the game and Por t were second to the ball and soft int he contest, even if you are short personel I was suprised at the lack of endevour fromt he PAMFC that is usually typical no matter what the 18 is on the field

2nd week in a row we have put in a completely lacklustre performance. All credit to North, they deserved that today. Heck, they should have really won by 150 points with the amount of scoring shots they had (realistic as well). In fact, it probably would have been better if we did lose by that much. But geez we were shit. Utterly, completely shit. Without a doubt the worst i can ever recall seeing us play at Alberton....if not anywhere.

We were completely thrashed in the middle. Our forward line was completely non existant without Clive. Our defence was hounded all day but North would have had a record amount of marks inside 50 today, easily.

There were only two Port players that could walk off that oval today where their heads held high - Brad Ebert, Levi Greenwood. Quite sad that the two youngest players in our side were the only two that probably won their position on the day. The rest should donate their pay cheques to charity as they certainly dont deserve to keep it.

At least the reserves won.

Good post Wedgie - when I watched the replay tonight I got sick of the commentators mentioning Port missing Waterhouse, Clayton and Poulton and no mention of our big out's as you listed. Some of those players listed might not rate against Port's big 3 outs but at least Hart, Motlop and McIntyre do in terms of what they bring to our team. Weatherley, Walker, White and Coulter would also be walk up starts normally but will now have to get fully fit and prove themselves in the ressies If we can hold our injuries over the next 3 weeks and get these blokes back up and running and we keep Gill for a few more then we may actually scrape into a top 3 finish. Then it is in the lap of the God's what happens then (plus a bomb blowing up Grand Central on a training night! - only joking ;)

83 points, just call me angry
Last years 82 point win is our biggest at Alberton, 83 is our biggest win ever against Port (1971)

Bzzz - wrong Ian. That idiot Ben Knights on ABC kept saying last years win was 82 points but it was actually 72 points. NA 22-14 (146) to PA 11-8 (74).

Yes, most North fans were, he's in the best 3 of most of ours.
The way North keep bringing up these kids who perform week in week out over the last couple of years is fantastic.

I have to giggle at a piece of graffiti in the Port bunker the ABC focussed on today:

"Cats suck Cocks".

Be the first time a Port supporter has managed to put two winners in one sentence taking into account the last 6 days!

Ladder for a few hours at least is:
Dogs
North
Eagles
Norwood
Port
Sturt
South
West
Glenelg

Sturt win, then Port are 6th and Sturt jump to second. 5 clubs have 4 wins ATM. Dogs ATM 3 1/2 wins clear of second and much greater percentage than any other club, but have played and extra game on half the comp.

The lads we brought up from the B's were great today.

Wundke led hard and took the strong grabs but his kick wasn't great which is unusual as he normally dobs them in the magoos.

Taesler has played quite a bit of league footy but he was very good today, he's hard at it and his disposal was great.

Delvins was superb and got 3rd best at the club tonight, he has a cool head in traffic and a touch of class, I have always been a big fan of his and now he is injury free he deserves a shot at league footy and hopefully puts in performances like today every week. A fantastic game by Timmy. Personally I would have had him 2nd best with Alleway number 1.

Cunningham was dropped for today's game but was named BOG in the ressies despite their loss. He is a good young player, and some say all we do is recruit and never give our gun juniors a chance!
