B-oath Hondo! The win against Port turned out to be pretty hollow given the form the Maggies showed after that game, this is our first victory against a real top 5 side IMO.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Brilliant performance Blues.

Umpires............sucked in, mission not accomplished.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

What a game.

When Centrals got 3 goals up in the last quater I once again said well our kids have played excellent again with our older players just showin the composure they needed to and I am glad I have been here to see the game.

But once again we showed that this year we are not goin to lay down and that last 5 minutes of the game seemed that it went for 15 minutes - so now I will go and have my tenth beer since the end of the game.

All and all a cracker of a game and the SANFL should be proud of there brand.

Also we will still be just takin it one week at a time

Dogs were pretty ordinary IMO, but Sturt were very good. Not going to go into detail because it'll sound like excuses etc, but very confident we'll overcome this challenge when it matters. At least we know what opposition there will be this season.

graham, id like you to go into detail as i wasnt there, were the dogs bad? good? sturt just too good?? by the sounds of the radio, the dogs has their chances, they a fair chunk, probably more, of the play and moved the ball fluently from end to end...there was one play there where it was 4 kicks, bang goal for the dogs...thats scary when the dogs get that going. I must say, i didnt hear schells name alot, early on more so.

would love to hear some thoughts from the dogs fans too

could of very easily gone the other way, dogs looked like they had it in the bag 10min into the final quarter, the dogs usually then kick into next gear and tear away with a win but today sturt didnt back down. Personally I believe the turning point was when schell/cochrane (cant remember who it was sorry) gave away a free kick to chambers on the 50m line after chambers just gave a free away and a 25m penalty. Just might of cost them the game. But thats just my opinion, but it is semi-professional football and you just shouldn't do that.

2 of the best goals i have seen were kicked today tho, one by goodrem from the pocket in front of the timer, awesome snap, and then the sturt guy (cant remember his name right now :( ) kicked that one of the siren to end the game in a great way :D

Easily the highest quality game of sanfl i have watched (but thats not alot...)

(btw its 5am in the morning, i might get some sleep and come back and edit my report haha )

This certainly was the turning point. Cochrane had the mark and Chambers gave away a 25 then Grima came in and touched Chambers and he fell over like he had been shot (like every player does), which is fine , but my beef is it should have still been a centrals free kick. Normally the umpire will stop the 25 metre penalty and still have that team take the free kick. The only time the decision is reversed is when it is just a straight free kick not a 25 aswell.
Our last 10 minutes was woefull we tried to be too cute and sturt just wanted to kick it long. Example of this was Slade about 52 metres out(we are a point down) short passes to Wilson 55 out and he tries to stab pass to Havelberg which was chopped of by sturt defender. Why Slade didnt go long is beyond me.Oh and it also chewed up about 3 or 4 minutes of time.

Still the best team on the day won. Sturt never gave in and fought for every ball. We had a few passengers today who just either didnt work hard enough or just had an off day. I dont think the small ground helped us either and sturt used that to their advantage by blocking our run and filling gaps.It was a great game of footy.

WELL DONE STURT.

The turning point of the game imho.

Sturt came to play a very good team.

Central came to play "Only Sturt"

No disrespect.

Your coach must get a mention.

Lairdy looked pissed off.

his name was Ryan Herring. WHen i heard that he had the ball and had kicked a goal, i didnt know the siren went because the crowd noise so loud, it drowned out the commentators...i was going spastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
