P.S. Clarrie - looking at the date you joined this site, clearly your "bandwagonner"! Where were you last year?

Nothing professional about Sturt, I wish we were more like the other sanfl clubs. They are all so great its just too difficult to pick who I would like to see the Blues more like. How lucky are all of you who support a sanfl club other that Sturt?
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Well it deserved a comment for it's obvious intent to cause a reaction! If you Sturt lot want to defend him from copping it, then PM him and tell him not to bait the rest of us with his posts - it works both ways. What sort of reaction did he (or you) expect?

Whilst I am definately not one of them, I'm sure some of the other non Sturt supporting people would like to hop on the blues bandwagon but there's no bloody room! Clearly SP has spent all of 2006 in the garage lovingly restoring the BW to it's former glory and he is obviously now the No 1 driver!

Be very careful, he's got a very powerful cheersquad.

I joined the site at the beginning of 2006; am I still allowed to post without being referred to as a "bandwagoner"?

What are the chronological pre-conditions for one to be/not to be referred to as such?
There is only one team I love as much as the Double Blues, the Double Blues Reserves.......

There isn't enough room on our bandwagon, can we borrow the bigger more modern version that North had 2 years ago ?

Smithy, sadly the wheels fell off that one and it ended up at the wreckers.

not at the wreckers mate, they drove it mad max style straight thru jars' front window while screaming 'Bagshaw is Great'

seriously, im a bit like S1, i cant bloody believe what im seeing when i watch the dvd's of the games, its an amazing turnaround from last year. A lot of posters on db.org assured me last year was just an abberation but i didnt believe it, i thought we really had taken a huge hit, but to the clubs credit, they believed and the rewards are showing, its still early days but no one can deny they are in a position on the ladder several clubs would love to hold. BUT, i still think that North are the team to beat other than the dogs and beating them would make me a little more comfortable with what i am seeing this year. At this stage, its looking like a north v dogs gf then daylight but just to beat north would be sweet since they are the BM other than the dogs. The eags, yes, i do want to beat them too.

Sturt are easily the most professional club there is. They havent put a foot wrong all year.

This is why they deserve to have this week off...

As I've already mentioned BPBRB, I only found out about this great site a few weeks ago. Obviously from your date of joining you weren't aware of it from the start either. Were you a 'bandwagoner' just jumping on around finals time last year? Now I really look forward to North failing to make a grand final for yet another season...

Nah, just get sick of the likes of BPBRABCDEFG giving crap to Sturt supporters. From what I recall, most of us have trod quite cautiously throughout the first half of the season. Now we have the runs on the board I don't see why we can't speak with a bit of confidence...

Our chance to grab North's scalp arrives in three weeks at Unley Oval Jimbob.

For now though, our football club must not look beyond this Saturday because I will guarantee you one thing, if we don't turn up FULLY focussed and committed to beat Glenelg this weekend, we will get beaten.

Hopefully the boys are mature enough to realise by now that our success thus far is down to 21 blokes playing accountable, passionate, team footy.

We have a BYE the following week so I am sure Rick will have the side switched on and keen to take our tally to 9-3.

I think that's a fair call MST and a fair indication of our competition ... Without trying to detract from Sturts performance on Friday night, the Legs turned up completely off-song (as a Legs fan you could see it as early as the warm-up) and were duly pantsed by an outfit playing incredibly committed footy.

(The manner in which Sturt played I think they would have beaten us even if we had "turned up to play", but I think it would have been a much much closer game)

Any team that flirts with their form or doesn't show up %100 prepared and comitted is likely to come undone no matter who they are or who they play.

PS .. I think this is one quality that Rick has brought to Sturt, he ensures they have a red-hot dip almost every week ... Belief can only come through performance and result, and by ensuring they enter every game switched on, that belief has come a long way at Unley.

Further to that CP, if the Blues are playing that intense, at-the-opposition type football they have played for the past month, it almost ensures the opposition will be in for a very difficult day. On Friday night against the 'Legs you could see the Norwood boys second guessing themselves because of the perceived pressure, which led to bad skill errors, decision making etc.

Bring that intensity to Adelaide Oval on Saturday and we are every chance of chalking up win number 9.
