You might have noticed that I didn't include their VFL / AFL team because I HATE that competition !!!

you have got to love lee robson the only bloke not to have a hair cut during the year. Started the year with short hair and finished with his long locks. was a very hard at it player, remember west torrens last ever game against port in the reserves grand final and the fight before the game. he was on fire not 1 punch missed. And he went on to get in the best in that great win.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

actually you're right G, tassies list of players are my personal favourites, i accidentally listed my B squad... man do i feel stupid!

Mate, don't be hard on yourself, with so many legends and great players (dare I say champions  ) we've had the pleasure of watching at Glenelg its hard to limit it to just 10 players...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'm prepared to admit better teams have have cost us GFs particuarly '75 and '90. Not saying we weren't a team the other side was a better one.

I liked the highly-skilled players like:

    D Jarman (North)
    A Jarman (North)
    D Robertson (North)
    G Fielke (West)
    M Naley (South)
    C Bradley (Port)
    T McGuiness (Glenelg)
    B Abernethy (Port)
    J Riley (North)
    P Motley (Sturt)
    S Nichols (Woodville)
A Rogers (Woodville - his SOO game on Brereton in '86 still stands out for me)

In recent years Hargreaves was always good value to watch.
    In between signatures .....

Too hard to limit it to 10! Not all champions just those I enjoyed watching as a kid and remember

    John Platten
    Grenville Dietrich
    Paul Weston
    Wayne 'The Moose' Henwood
Rocket Rodney 'The Messiah' Maynard as we used to call him though mainly on many a cold night watching Adelaide at Footy Park.
    John Duckworth
    Bruce Lindner
    Both Jarman boys
    Peter Motley
Ralph Sewer in his latter years

and Craig Balme gets on honorable mention for the way he said G'Day to Tim Evans back in the GF of 1984 :D

    Cheers
