Recon your right Tas - my memory not as good as it used to be :D
Had similar issue to your Property Steward with a Centrals game at Elizabeth hence they stuck in my mind - interesting thing was we contacted the SANFL in the week prior to the game with this question and they faxed the club a response that the Centrals shorts were blue (from memory) - good thing we kept that fax as it saved a rather large fine.

Pseudo - predominate jumper colour is Black - the different colour sashes do not really stand out - South (navy) & Norwood more a problem in inclement weather but still an issues under game pressure.

Who was the other side besides Central Tassie?

South under Sheldon wore white shorts at all games for a period of time. When Applegarth took over he reverted back to the dark shorts for home games. One game we took the white shorts to Adelaide oval (as the away team) South came out in them too for the ressies - our property stewards had to go back to the BAy to get the black shorts for the league and ressies to change into at half time...

Thats wrong too

Why cant we have clear guidelines for all teams?

PS I am not suggesting that the SANFL is saying we need to wear red V the Bays, truth is I dunno. But I bet we will run out with them which makes it easier to tell the difference as a spectator but seems wrong too me.

I must say as a player I had enough trouble playing for Brighton in green hoops on white eg a green geelong V Adelaide Lutheran in the traditional Kangaroos jumper so to say the players dont have an issue cant cover all players.

Thankfully when I played for Brighton in the traditional Glenelg jumper I did not play against Morphett Vale in the Bloods jumper, with my colour blurred eye sight I may as well have run drinks....

Cheers mate, I actually think guernseys that a predominately one colour look better with white shorts, Im not sure why Central are keen to wear them though.

I think you're all mistaken anyway.

West will wear their traditional jumper. The previous time when we wore our 'clash' jumper at home was an error on the day.

Glenelg will not want to trip up in this game. I'm sure they would have chalked this up as a win. Westies looked good in the last quarter against the Blues. Sturt might have given their kids a bit of confidence/form although Porplycia was they guy who hurt us most, he is a big out.
I still think the Bays will win easily but they need not be complacent, the top 5 awaits them this season.

I don't think anyone at glenelg is taking this game lightly, we are not that good that we can think we can beat teams below us just by rocking up.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

what an absolute disgrace the bays were for 3 quarters, westies to their credit played really well and didnt seem to be going at 100%.

Westies applied good strong body pressure, if they had of used the ball a little better when attacking the game could have well and truly been over sooner, but with also a little help from the Umpires we managed to stay in the game and not get totally blown away.

we played crap for 3 quarters and looked good in the last quarter when everyone woke up....

we will get smashed if we play like that against a top 4 side in the future......

we have a very very long way to go............

a few westies fans i spoke too think they have a squad that should be in the finals, that Weed is no good. they want a Norman, Godden or Healy coaching next year.
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

A pity for West Adelaide that they couldn't play their first three quarters from the Bays game and their final quarter from the Sturt game, all on the same day.
Just as well for Sturt or Glenelg that they didn't.
