They play 1-2 years tops at senior level before being pinched by the AFL clubs so there has to be a balance between recruits and locals

Think it was 16 locals in our premiership team

And how many of them were drafted or lost at end of season?
Without recruiting West have a very slim chance of going back to back. Every club needs recruits

Had 6 drafted, not all played in the Grand Final, got a few other youngsters coming through to replace them. Would love a few recruits but doubt they will get any. Juniors are our future

That's very good, Pilot, you are quite clever aren't you? ;)

I help with the clubs' Social Media, if you must know...

Is the Lewis Johnston situation getting any closer to a resolution?

I keep hearing he is definitely going to be at Norwood?

Yeah was my question. I thought you were an 'official" which is different to a volunteer . Only reason why I said that is because that's how you described it. Knowing the finances of clubs they don't have many officials these days. Good on you though as all clubs need these volunteers. Looks good on a resume too to be honest , club helper and community radio helper .

Don't need it on my resume, not applying for anything that would need it in there...

Haven't done anything to my resume for 9 years now, been in the same role, work wise...

Yes, it may be a volunteer role, but volunteers are still classed as 'officials' at most football clubs...

You are right, though, all football clubs need volunteers and if you are passionate about your club or competition, like we all are, and can lend a hand in some capacity, then do it...

It is very rewarding...

Anyway , it's not about status.

Absolutely rewarding and believe me , it's fantastic on a resume'. You never know what's around the corner Phil. Include it mate.

You know whats more annoying than people not naming players in rumoured moves.. People harping on about it.. If he doesn't want to name them initially then so be it, especially if he controls the clubs social media, why would he step on his own toes by naming them on here before the club official announcement? And at least the fans know the club are actively working to recruit when he announces something is imminent..

That's right. Bounce of the ball does not come out and say that he helps with the fences at Sturt as he has something to hide. Not pooping in your own nest is admirable.

West Adelaide have signed Michael Hagan from the NT.
Was a part of the AFL AIS squad.
Slightly built but super quick.

Its not a difficult concept. If you know then say so , if you can't due to involvement the say nothing. Why create innuendo. I'm sure many join the dots anyway . I know if I volunteered for a clubs social media I wouldn't be posting rumours and I am certain the club would be unhappy if I did.

Why would I help fences at Sturt anyway ? It's like some of you are hanging on Phils coat tails. It's funny though.

Any word on when L.Johnston signing with Norwood will be announced?

Interesting posts, including from the man himself, on a Facebook SANFL rumour page last night, shooting down the $40K mentioned.

I'm sure Doggies supporters wish that were the case, but no, I don't think so...

O'Hara and his partner, who works for 7Prime in country NSW, have recently purchased a property in Wagga, I believe...
