And Dale Ellis has left South .Not sure where he is going.

Heard he may be joining his brother who is coaching Victor Harbor in the Great Southern League.

Not sure as my source is a south player ;)

I previously posted that Port had signed Ellis. Perhaps it is true after all.

He really ticks all the boxes as a potential recruit.

He will fit into South nicely!!!
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

A few other sides had a chance of securing Cousins, why didn't they?

Yes the other sides could have or should have.

I mean Port have taken a washed up hack in Carr instead of him.
Port already had enough youngsters last year plus they added another 6 ish in the Draft so to take a player of Carr's ability instead of Cousins is ridiculous. Also by adding Cousins to their list, their membership and home crowds would have risen but they are travelling that well they dont need that.

G I reckon Carr may prove you wrong about being washed up. Ports onballers apart fro cornes are fairly young and the steady influence of Carr might pay off. Then again you did not mention the crows not picking him up as well Now they need a onballer

Look I know this is getting off the original topic but I agree that the Crows should have picked him up to compliment their ageing on ball brigade.
He doesnt fit into Craig's "holier than thou" category though and my main part in regards to Port was what it would do to boost Memberships and Crowds -something the Crows dont really have to worry about.

Cousins' issues relate to character not ability. He's a risk, whereas Carr is a known quantity and isn't much of a risk at all.
