Curious as to why you think Port will win the wooden spoon RB?

I think they'll improve in 2012 from their last season, especially with a good forward in Wilson.

Probably thinks that won't win as many games as the other teams. Your hard to please Phil. Can't someone post without having to answer to you ?

Ahh, welcolme back Yorick, Happy New Year !!!

I was just curious as to why he thinks the Maggies will win the wooden spoon. Heaven forbid I should prompt a discussion

I just think that they've got the worst list in the league. I know they haven't exactly made a habit of winning wooden spoons, but I don't see how they'll win more games than anyone else. (Here's hoping!)

I don't think Glenelg are going to be quite as weak as some people are making out. Kirk, Tenace, McMahon, Allen, Rudolph, Kirkby, Mules, and Davenport are all going to be there as far as I know. I think they'll miss the finals, but I see them doing better than Port, who've got far fewer players of the calibre of the Tigers I mentioned. (Meiklejohn, Summerton, Harder, Clayton, maybe Dolling).

Why thankyou for the response RB, I appreciate your thoughts on your call of the Maggies winning the spoon in 2012.
Good, hearty forum conversation one would have thought :D

In some ways it's the biggest call I've ever made, predicting that a 112-year spoon drought will come to an end!

Why all the doom around Glenelg?
Dont think they will be as bad as everyone thinks, still plenty of talent left and also have a good ressies and u18's side. Maybe a few of these younger guys will step in and fill the voids.
If I was a Tigers supporter id be looking forward to this season, far from doom and gloom.

Dont know if their list has improved. Give some of the kids ago and who knows.
Not saying they will make finals but dont think they will finish dead last like most people are suggesting.

First Coach to get the Chop .......... Teflon Collins for me ! That bloke must have photos on most of the Westies Board in a variety of compromised positions to have served up that start to the season and then lose a crazy number of games and easily miss out on finals , well he cant say West never give him a go ! Like the Bays from a year ago , a year to go on his contract must be surely saving the coaches job . The spectre of Mickan makes this one a must watch closely for all SANFL fans in 2012 , lets hope for Blood @ the Bloods

West also had a crazy lot of injuries as well that did not help , they were playing terrfic footy before the injuries remember. He has a year to run on his contract and this will be his last if he doesn't meet the boards expectations that they have set him .
