Probably, to get this thread back on topic, is that the figures are just as embarrassing as some of those for the crowds at the finals so far.

And now for awake in the black and white forest. Apposite really.

Interestingly when Beenreal is confronted with two of his or her statements that...

"PAFC pay the SANFL 80% of all their revenue" AND the "PAFC have contributed $57M since 1997" I.m curious why he or she won't answer the obvious question that the PAFC turnover, based on those figures, is $4M per year over that time.

It must mean one of the statements is wrong.

Who'd a thought it? :D

OR, when called a liar in he same post where I'm asked a question, my only thought on the matter is, why I would bother.

Being the last game a Footy Park you would think it might attract a least another 5,000 neutrals so a crowd of 40,000 may be achieved ????
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

So tiresomely predictable that you'd weasel out of answering.

When he admits he or she was wrong, to put it politely, about claiming 80% of all PAFC revenue flows direct to the SANFL I'll happily get back to shitcanning Phil Gallagher or Joe Tripodi.

The broad spectrum of the income debate was match day revenue. I've tabled figures umpteen times, so as long as the selective editing continues, I'm not going to bother.

Enjoy your second rate Grand Final this weekend Topsy. I'll look forward to my club winning more of those, PLUS AFL ones in the next few years.

No it wasn't Beeny, as you well know.

Why you can't admit to either (a) just being wrong or (b) not being super bright is beyond me.

And yes, I will enjoy my GF this weekend, happy in the knowledge that, yet again, my one team is involved in footy finals long after either of your teams is.

Historically North were always part of the Big 4 and were always referred to in that way. It was only in the late 1970s that Ashley Porter created the new Big 4 and included Glenelg at North's expense.

It was interesting to hear Doug Thomas continually say that West in 1983 were the only team outside of the Big 5 to win a flag.

Surely, pre-1966, Sturt couldn't have been considered a member of the 4 heavies. I'd imagine North were there, along with Norwood and Port. Outside of those three however I'm struggling to find a team worthy of inclusion except maybe West with their (Glenelgesque) run of grand final appearances, or Torrens, who had a huge supporter base at the time. A final consideration could go to South, who with 10 premierships before 64 were the third most successful SANFL club.
Who filled the 4th spot in the "big 4" in the early 60's?
