Obviously not saying that but it could give an indication something was already going a miss.

Personally i don't really buy the whole it was his performance line, Lairdy had 23 rounds to drop him and make him earn his spot based on what the club wanted him to do.

And he went within "a Dedja's pride" of the B&F, that's not a bad season's work!

Yep so either way Lairdy played a bloke who wasn't playing to instructions on a weekly basis and so badly he has been told his not required yet was never dropped and the B&F system at Central is so flawed that a bloke who was ordinary and disobeyed instruction can come second in the B&F (while Lairdy wasn't the only vote giver I'm sure Jane doe who stands in the scoreboard pocket wasn't giving votes, it would have been people from the inner circle like granty, chaps, browny etc etc)

Or the performance line is bull shit and something else has happened

As mentioned Boyd attended last night and apparently made a good speech.
From the outside this seems like one of the most baffling decisions the club has ever made. With the potential decline of the sanfl going forward, I would have thought a proven ball getter and clearance player is critical (particularly one that wants to stay at the club), It's okay to want a tall "athletic" midfield type, but wanting and actually having seem far apart at the moment. Unless, they had a couple of better replacements surely the key is to retain talent.
Boydy had a very good year, does well for his size. Saw him hit off the ball a number of times, burns the ball sometimes (as do all) but at least he gets it. Jackson Obrien during his brief stint averaged plenty of tackles but rarely got the ball. Boyd played the last five games with a broken hand (played a gf with a break in his leg).
Now that they've voted to turn the sanfl into a joke, hopefully Boyd will go for the cash in the country and not make us pay on field when/if he plays against us.
Thanks Boydy.

Was told he had a meeting with Roy about next year and that the coach wanted to use him as a small forward next year and Boyd didn't agree. Then things took of from that and couldn't be repaired, so the coached moved him on.

That's nice. But for those who aren't in on the big secret, it's not a good look.

Could Boyd end up at The Parade to play under his former South skipper, now he has been appointed coach of the Redlegs?

Norwood must have changed their mind then. When I spoke to someone a couple of weeks ago they were not even considering speaking to him. They had heard too many stories about him. Wouldn't be the first time someone on the Norwood board had done a backflip though.

Pretty sure Norwood's no recruiting dickheads policy in still in force though.
