North sack Daniel Hargraves

All discussions to do with the SANFL

Yep, depending on whether his contract is still valid/current....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You will find it will cost a club a fair bit if they want Hargs. North dumped Ray Ebel who was out of contract and it cost Port $10K in transfer fees. I would say $25K to $28K would be around the mark for Hargs which is the first barrier to his continuing in the SANFL. North will clear him for free to a club outside the SANFL but if another SANFL club wants him they will have to pay despite North axing him. Add in match payments etc then is it viable for one season?

I'm not sure if it's valid or not, but isn't there a transfer tribunal type setup that clubs can air their grievances toward in specific situations?

I am not going on the attack here, however I am curious to know your thinking behind a transfer fee of that size? Surely it is the current value of a player and what he can offer a club that will decide what is a fair transfer fee?

If someone has been given the DCM for a discipline issue (as it would appear from this thread), has had injuries this year and is getting older, then surely a much lower transfer fee would apply? I would have thought North getting $5k - $10k for him to go to another club is better than North getting $0 for him going to Broadview in the ammos?

In all seriousness, a club getting transfer fees for a player they've sacked is just pathetic.

"We don't want you.. but but but no one else can! Not without paying".

Wasn't there a North reserves player who was told his services weren't wanted at the end of the 2005 season but then had an exorbitant price tag put on his head when Norwood wanted to recruit him? Finished up out of the SANFL system I think. Like Hargraves will.

Geez those guys at Prospect do a good job for the amateur comp. :D

HAHAHAHAHHA LOL, How's about the SANFL expert who said that A club with ADAM GROCKE at CHF will never win a flag.......:-) Cant be assed dragging out the hyperlink to the thread.....but someone is ignoring this fact I feel :-) Maybe his 3.3 in the GF did not make the difference?

Good on Adam for taking his chance and playing in a winning side but be serious, was he the difference from the past years to this year as to why the Eagles first finshed minor premiers and then won the flag. If he is that great why isn't he in the AFL?

Yes I'm a d*ckhead because I did mis-read your first point but was acting on the inference that he was washed up which wasn't what you intended. My "alter-ego" has apologised and sent you a PM explaining it, but I ask you this: What are you going to do if we do meet? What are you inferring this time or have I got that wrong? I will leave it at that given you were probably angry at my post and fair enough but don't make veiled threats publically - there is no need for it.

P.S. I'm easy to find at the Football too if you so wish to meet!

For some reason the person (batman from memory) didn't rock up to the carpark on GF day despite his veiled threats. Not unexpected though.
