Don't blow smoke up North's botties Jimmy, they were absolute cream puffs against the Bays a couple of weeks ago. Sure they got us while we were finding our feet early in the year but we would have walloped them on the day. Eagles are a bogey side for us for sure, but North? Highly overrated.

Further to that CP, if the Blues are playing that intense, at-the-opposition type football they have played for the past month, it almost ensures the opposition will be in for a very difficult day. On Friday night against the 'Legs you could see the Norwood boys second guessing themselves because of the perceived pressure, which led to bad skill errors, decision making etc.

Bring that intensity to Adelaide Oval on Saturday and we are every chance of chalking up win number 9.

Yeah agreed, it is a very relentless style of football and Sturt have the fitness base and youthful enthusiasm to bring it every week ... For Sturt to be beaten when on song is going to take a 4 quarter effort from a quality opponent.

Just on that "youthful enthusiasm", last year I thought Weatherald and Feast were past it and Nelson was useful at best, but it must be rubbing off* on older blokes like those because thay have certainly wound back the clock.

I don't reckon Zippy, but it's interesting how we all see things differently, certainly has turned out (with the exception of the usual CDFC dominance) to be quite a fascinating season thus far.

There isn't enough room on our bandwagon, can we borrow the bigger more modern version that North had 2 years ago ?

We originally got it from you guys in the first place and now you want it back!

As I've already mentioned BPBRB, I only found out about this great site a few weeks ago. Obviously from your date of joining you weren't aware of it from the start either. Were you a 'bandwagoner' just jumping on around finals time last year? Now I really look forward to North failing to make a grand final for yet another season...

Nothing is ever that obvious Clarrie. Yep I jumped on the bandwagon, then jumped off and then reinvented myself under another guise - as others on here would verify. I've been here since day one!

I only went to Sturt games between 1989 and 1996 and stopped going to the footy when we became successful. Just to negate the North supporters assertations of bandwaggoning.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

KARMA!

Writing off Sturt at the beginning of this year was indeed the inspiration the mercurial Rick had in making sure the SFC would be a competitive unit in 2007.

They have given me the ride of my life this Season and I'm more passionate about the Club than ever before :) :)

Stay positive focus on the Bays and enjoy your break before we take on the Panthers at Unley on Sat July 14th.

Go U Baby Blues!

North are definitely not over-rated. They are a huge premiership chance!
As for Central's dominance, I am not sure it is really there. We did lose to Sturt and only just got over the line against Port, North, Norwood and South. Those games were all in the balance until the last quarter. The only sides we have been truly dominant against have been West and the Eagles.
Cheers!

LOL .. Nice to "only just get over the line" against Norwood ... by 62 points!! (I do know what you mean though)

Have seen Central twice this year and they have been the 2 best performances I've seen all year, looking forward to seeing them again Saturday and see if my opinion changes at all.

Anybodies game really.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

I agree with Jimmy on this. I will wait to see if we can beat the Eagles and North before I start making any big claims. We have just come so far in such a short space of time, I can't really make any bold predictions with last year's misery still fresh in my mind. And the way they are playing of late, I am getting my full fix just from the results, no need to boast to feel satiated in my view, I'll take being humble and second on the ladder any day to making hollow boasts and sitting bottom.
Bloody hard game this week against an in form Bays side, and that's all I am really concerned about right now anyway.
GO YOU BLUES!
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Famous last words alays come back to haunt people eventually (we have all been victims).

So - zip zap cream puffs we were against the bays your right, a team you failed to beat yesterday so what does that make your lot??? I hope you find your feet next time you play us as it's been a while since you have beaten us or even looked like making a game of it!

Now on what day would you have walloped us???

It takes more than a loss to the Bays to keep me from posting.

We should have had the game in the bag at Quarter time but wasted numerous opportunities.

To the boys' credit they tried hard but Glenelg were far too good or rather 2 Richards were extremely good for Glenelg :(

Enjoyed the post-match presentations at Adelaide's elite Hotel at Fullarton :D :D

A well earned bye and then 3 HUGE games against South, North and West.

Go U Blues :) :)
