Yep, look at the AFL this year. Poor performances are not accepted. The coach is always the first to go. Look, Pies has been there 4 years. I think we can all agree, he has had a very good playing list. When he came to the club he saw it as a 4 to 5 year plan to get South to be a competative unit. 4th last year and the club would not accept going down the ladder from there.
Predicted top 3 this year by media and others.
If South dont make the finals this year I think you can say contracts mean nothing.
If they do keep him next year , I think he would be a very lucky man.
It's very obvious the playing group are not responding to Pyman. I actually believe the playing group are not responding to each other as well. Something aint right there!!!
Players last year that were in fantastic form have not performed this year. This goes for the new players as well. The coach is there to get the players perform to the best of their ability and switch them on.
It will be a tough decision for the club to make at the end of the year. :?

If he went I think we need someone with a successful record. This has not happened for a long time at South. (maybe since Cornes coached us!!) We need someone the players have total respect for and play for the club, not themselves!!!

At the end of the year the club needs to go through the list. If they find out who in the playing group does not want to be at South Adelaide next year - P**S them off!!! We dont want them at the club as negativity flows through others. This has happened to long at South and needs to end.

We as supporters/members, are sick and tired of hearing promises year after year only to be let down.

Its time to get it right!!!

At some point the coach has to be accountable for the results,if he cannot implement a game plan that consistently gets results its time up.Confusion within the playing group re the game plan strategy during games says alot about instructions or lack of on match day.Using two finals games as a basis for a contract extension simply lost the guy the respect gained. Then a total lack of man management to attempt to replace Sampson as captain without advising him first again there is a way to do these things that respects the player. If a change was to be made perhaps Damian Hardwicke or Luke Norman could be in the mix but lets get a Wayne Jackson type to chair the commitee charged with recruiting and interviewing canditates. We really need to get it right for the future of footy in the south.

After what was written in todays Advertiser, I reckon it's time for South fans to either get behind the coach and players or keep their mouthes shut! You've been told that Pyman will be there next year. Live with it and get out to the games and down to the club and show your support or keep quiet for the next 18 months. Have you ever stopped to think that a lot of the negative feeling around the club is caused by the supporters continual bagging. The other option is to get involved and instigate change yourselves.

The players have as much to answer for as the coach.

If Sturt had said that Phillips was going to coach in 07 I wouldn't have been happy but I would have kept quiet about it... In our case last year quite a few players attitudes were as much at fault as any coaching tactics. My point is Southee, if a decision has been made get behind the club, do something to change it or keep quiet...

wrong pseudo, its the board (not the public) that gives 'full support' & when they do that is when the coach is in trouble. as for today some south players were actually arguing & abusing each other

i dont think that fans should keep quiet about their views on the club, whether its players or coach.

South players werent the only ones abusing their own team-mates, Port did the same thing a few times as well.

it happens at most clubs

WTF

Are those the same players telling all and sundry that Pyman has no support and needs to go? FFS, pull your heads in and focus on what you have to do on the field.

Southee, how is sacking Pyman going to fix that?

Start responding to a coach they respect and actually want to play for.
Not play in spite.
Hondo, can we swap Pies with Jars???

Umm that would be the second time in a week that channel 7 sport has questioned Pyeman's coaching or the south club.
