Oh great. I'm so happy that Centrals have lost another player and also so proud that we had a player drafted to the AFL.

in case you didn't realise I'm being sarcastic.

I wouldn't expect anything less from you, mate.

We all guessed you were being sarcastic when the word ‘happy’’ was in your sentence

I’ll let LMA know he’s got some free time now so they can catch up for that beer

We all did!

Don't worry as a Hawthorn supporter I was initially disappointed that Hawthorn selected a guy by the name of Buddy Franklin when all the rage was about Richard Tambling - that worked out ok for the Hawks.

Is getting banned on an internet forum akin to being given a digital pass?

Rhyming slang, surely.

Its for salary reasons, he will still be at South next year.

They move him there for the time being, then delist him and pick up someone in the pre season supplementary draft. A bit odd but been done before I think.

How does that work though - being on Crows AFL list, when they have a reserves team, and being allowed to play for South Adelaide?

*Edit - just saw your post above...interesting way of doing things

They will delist him after moving him to rookie, allows them to salary dump.

Eagles got smashed at the main draft/rookie draft - seven players gone including four regular league players who have leg speed that we will need to replace.

A "foundation" club doing this to the league they were born in is pathetic.

On the contrary, I actually feel pleased, for Corey, that he realises his dream of playing in the AFL.
I am also pleased, for us, that he has been drafted by an interstate club so will not be playing against us next year.

The team I feel sorry for is actually the Eagles (which is very unusual for me ;) ) as they are likely to have a number of their 2020 players playing against them next year.

I also am quite irate at Port's selection of Goldsack as a 33 year-old 'rookie'. This shows that they lied to the SANFL about their reason for having all Power players play at the Magpies; it is more about bolstering their chances of winning an SANFL premiership than their AFL prospects. If the SANFL had any balls, they should make it a condition of the Crows and Power being in the SANFL next year that the old system of the 'internal draft' is re-implemented. All players drafted from SA should continue to play for their SANFL club of 2020 when not selected in the AFL side, and all interstate drafts should be allocated out between the SANFL clubs.

Cheers
