@Brett there are rumblings galore that Grima has “lost the group” at Unley.
Have you heard anything? Can you divulge anything?

Interesting call to play Women's Grand Final today at Thebarton which is not a current SANFL ground, does not have an approved COVID stadium plan in place and thus has 1000 capacity.

Many turned away today. Would not have been an issue at Prospect which has 3,000 approved capacity.

Even Adelaide Footy League saw this coming and is playing DIv 1 & Div 2 Grand FInals at Norwood (which has 3,000 approved capacity) on October long weekend.

I wondered why I could see a lot of people standing the other side of the fence watching the game, that explains it!
Glad I didnt travel the 5 mins from home to go.

How does Charlea Taylor go.

I worked with her for a long period of time and if she is good at footy as she is at every other sport she will be an absolute superstar.

Why would anyone want no Reserves ? That is ruining the game even more .

The whole structure of footy is wrong IMO and has been for years. Once the so called AFL was introduced it should have changed and changed to make footy better. But as we all know its was about saving Vic clubs and back door deal with Port.
It should be now an AFL comp and with less teams. ( we all know that). Lists should be reduced and the drafted age lifted to 20 . That simply strengthens the state leagues and doesn't lose players after being swallowed up in a horrible system.
I dont want AFL reserves in . They add nothing. But if the Power and Crows want to join then the SANFL either says no or demand a huge licence fee. Im sure the AFL would have nowhere to go on that .

Still think it is . NEAFL no longer ?

NEAFL has been absorbed into the VFL.
NAB league is going to U17’s and U19’s so I’d expect we will have to follow suit

Just make a proper afl reserves and be done with it.
Hopefully if we do go to a 17s and 19s comp then the 17s is a full season and not the crap 6 game comp the 16s currently play.
