if North "boned" Jars...

Hypothetically...
I believe it could easily do more harm then good.
Would be very similar to Thomas getting the flick from St Kilda. Would be all sort of official reasons followed up by rumours, would even possibly make the back page of the 'tiser!
I'm sure there are many casual/relaxed members who would be gutted, and would not renew their membership.
Has taken them deep into the finals everytime, (so far).
Could also cause division amongst the playing group, because i'm sure that many of the players would be very "pro" Jars.
He is a great advertisment for the SANFL, with his enthusiasm and spirit and his very high media presence.
May not be as tactically astute or as modern in his style, but there is a lot more to it then that.
I betcha a bun that Jars coaches Norfski next season.

What was North's membership nos in the year pre-Jars compared with now? IIRC there has been a huge leap in numbers. Obviously success would have something to do with it but so too would Jars' profile, similar to when Macca came to Nwd the membership nos grew overnight.

Membership started rising dramatically after Barrie Robran started at Marketing Manager and they've improved every year since he started. Before Barrie started on I think it was less than 1000.
Its an interesting point re the players Rushby as one player told me 10-15 players would walk out and yet another player told me some of them would be happy and more likely to stay. If he stays on people might actually start dumping their membership. Hopefully not though.
I doubt very much that Jars will be there unless he performs a miracle from here and takes North into a Grand Final.
Lot of behind the scenes incidents not to mention great people who bleed red and white leaving the club under the Jars regime.
If we come 4th or 5th he hasn't got a chance and would be very lucky if we came 3rd.
PS Shouldn't the title have an asterisk in it?

One thing for me that was very evident being a neutral spectator last Saturday was the amount of North "Supporters" who were so proud as to be clearly evident in not supporting their players when NOT in a winning situation.
I would have thought better of you mob! Glad we didn't merge back in '94.
You all need to go into a room full of mirrors and take a good hard look at yourselves!
Our supporters may be classified as "Bandwagoners" but we don't turn on our own when the chips are down!
The bandwagoners just don't turn up!

Does your coaching staff do or condone what our club does to it's supporters and not for the first time either? Perhaps you should read some entries on other topics on this forum and on the Roost before you start questioning the support the North fans give it's club. If you ain't involved then you can't possibly have an idea! Support is a two way street except at Prospect where it is a one way dead end not favouring the supporters in most cases!

As long as Jars is the best man to lead North, I would want him to remain.
Yes, he has got many people off-side, as he is not too accepting of criticism.
Some good people have left North, who will more than likely return on Andrew's departure.
Jars has certainly played a part in North re-gaining some on field credibility, & for that we thank him.

Good sentiments Punky, unless there is someone better to take his place he should remain, there's no point in change just for changes sake.

This is probably the same situation as Phil Carman.
Rescued a down and out struggling side (through good recruiting rather than great tactics) into a finals side but couldn't take that extra step.

As an outsider (who could really only make assumption), I'd always thought that Phil's strength had lay in galvanising a young group and ensuring they were all on the same page.
