Depends which one's you get, the security we've had this year at Prospect down the Southern end has been sensational on the whole. Very common sensical chaps who have enjoyed having a laugh with the crowd and not being confrontational at all.
Ive seen no incidents and this perhaps would have been due to the professional way the chaps down our end have handled themselves this year. I think once the good ones got stationed at Prospect they asked to stay there so we're also lucky.
Hope they go to Adelaide Oval this year as opposed to some of the Nazis we've had there in the past.

I've never seen any trouble at Glenelg games, stand on Snouts most games, and nothing...BUT that's not too say I never see the Weslo dudes either...

Quick off the mark when it's time to chase a kid off the oval that has strayed near the centre square, quick to shoo people away from areas that are not really dangerous, tend to go missing when a real problem flares up that has potential to erupt, notice a number of them watching the game when they are paid to be a security presence. Somewhat inconsistent in how they approach and handle situations. An incident waiting to happen unless they change their approach.

What did they do to upset ya Spelly.
There were two at woody oval the umpire had to turn around and wait at the start of every quarter for them to get off.

One at Norwood yesterday was concerned that there was nothing on their walkie talkie for half an hour. His colleague told him to do a radio check.

They are meant to be watching the crowd, ensuring people are safe, not having a chat ! :?

It's from what I've seen, and what I've heard about what they do and don't do.

very true, the regulars we get at our end, are fairly ok to us though, they always tell us its not up to them they are just doing as stadium managment has asked, but most the time they are called into action they cause more trouble than they prevent.
will be intresting to see how they go this friday with Melbourne playing here and around 1000 travelling over, could (probably will) get ugly.
