I heard that an experienced player told the club this morning that he is moving on - any one heard anything

When I read the title of this thread I thought it was describing one of the Snout's visits to the toilet!
The question has to be asked though, why did I click on it to read? :?

I'll use footysa's words...got this news yesterday:

Adding to the list of departures that already included Heath Culpitt who is talking to other SANFL clubs at the moment, are Paul Sherwood who is going to Queensland and Billy Neely who is talking to a number of clubs around Australia. The surprising one is Brett Backwell who will most likely end up at another SANFL club, Central Districts being higly tipped as the front runner.

Paul Allison, Malcolm Greenwood and Sudjai Cook have also been given the boot, with Cook alleged to be in talks with the Eagles. Greenwood will most likely follow Burge (again) and suit up for Broadview and Allo...who knows, maybe a gig with North...titter.

Regarding Mouse...the club stripped him of his official development role due to the increased load of full-time coach Mickan and Development Officer, Ken Applegarth.

And Centrals appear to be the ONLY club willing to pay Mouse his flattering demands...

Latest word is that Mouse may NOT actually be leaving Glenelg.

It's understood he wants to stay (which didn't help Vlatko last year) and the club are now trying to organise a new job for him.

Sure do Oldfella...

Can't name names...too public...

Let's just say that some volunteers are being given the boot, and it's rumoured that the CEO and Mickan are crossing names off their hit-list on a daily basis.

Not trainers, or at least that I have heard of...YET. :(

Neely is most likely leaving the SANFL behind, but Culpy is close to signing with Norwood, if a suitable transfer fee can be negotiated...

The Mouse deal to Centrals is a bit jaded at present...if the Tigers can find him a job, he'll stay.

Culpitt, Neely, Sherwood and possibly Backwell....4 pretty big losses there. 4 of the Tiges top 6 or 7 players in my opinion. To lose 3 starting midfielders and one of the best Key backs in the league is pretty harsh. Any replacements on the cards or ressies playres that could step up and become regulars?? Id say maybe Allen, Doswell and Hinge might get more of a go next year?

Not too fussed about some of those, would be good to keep mouse and out of all the others i would have liked to have kept Neely, hope we can recruit a few quality people and players to replace the ones that have been shown the door...Any news if the signing of Stokes is official yet, appaently Norwood are after Culpitt, how about a trade?? so we can get Vlatko back....

What about getting himself a job, thats what the real people do in the real world.
Thats why many wanabee footballers become bums when their careers are over.

Then again, buy a pub and build a Grand Glenelg and that will accomodate at least 80% of your squad.

LOL!

Had to laugh at Brent Guerra's comments after being delisted from St Kilda, something along the lines of:

"All I've got is footy."

I'd say a trade is right out! Especially Vlatko who I believe is very happy at Norwood.
