We will see if this helps South's improve but I feel they should have looked to the VFL or elsewhere for their coach. Don't get me wrong but i feel it is a bit like Westies rehiring knuckles back in 1992 a wrong move and that hurt Westies back then and this might hurt south long term.

I know at least some of the players are not exactly over the moon about it either.

must respect what he has achieved over a fantastic career but how will the young guys respond (under 20's) to a man that is probably older than their grandfather!

South have major issues in the playing group as it is and that is one of the reasons for people pushing for Cahill to be brought into the club. It is well time that those players that are not 100% for the jumper got kicked out of the club. Players that dont give a stuff about our colours or guernsey are one of the factors in our lack of success. Cahill might be old, yet he has exactly what it takes to deal with that situation.

For the record and contradictory to the Thread Heading.

SAFC is yet to officially announce its senior coach for 2008.

Stay tuned for an official announcement sometime soon. (Guarantee before Christmas )

I am happy to pick up their cab charges for their trip from Noarlunga to Glenelg. The sooner the club does something to address the cancer in the playing group, the sooner we are going to be in a position to put a side on the field that can be competitive.

Couldn't agree more really.

About time the squad showed some respect to the supporters and the jumper.
The performances we had to suffer through, particularly in the second half of the year were unforgivable.

If anyone even attempts to undermine Cahill, they should be given an express one-way trip the hell out of Noarlunga.
