First and Last Round

North and Centrals played in Round 1, now they are playing in the last game of the year.
Just wondering how many times this has happenned before.

1921 - Port and Norwood
1931 - North and Sturt
1933 - Torrens and Norwood
1939 - Port and Torrens
1945 - Torrens and Port
1959 - Port and West
1975 - Norwood and Glenelg
1977 - Port and Glenelg
1981 - Port and Glenelg
1982 - Norwood and Glenelg

Those are the winners of the grand final on the left; runner up on the right.

The round 1 winners ended up being runners up on these occasions: 1921 - Norwood; 1931 - Sturt; 1933 - Norwood; 1945 - Port; 1959 - West; 1975 - Glenelg; 1981 - Glenelg and 1982 - Glenelg. So the Round 1 winners have only won 4 out of the 12 Grand Finals of those years.

Not hard to figure out going by the amount of Glenelg listings on the right :lol:
