Name Who Could Play AFL Now From Your Club???? Semi-Mature

A break away thread from the Callinan thread, name who at your club could honestly play at the high level, leave the possible drafts out but make it more your semi-mature players.

From West Adelaide

None- Maybe if a brain surgeon could do a transplant on Cuppido as there is no doubt he has the ability and body but too much against him.

Interesting isnt it,

Backwell is a GUN, but could not make it at Carlton as with Kane who had a go at the Hawks. There is a big difference in the leagues.

From North

Josh Cubillo would be a good chance

although delisted he shoved it up everyone by the end of year and would have done the same in the AFL

Agreed about Cubillo as he tackles so well, hart probably now debatable and Chambers obviously can play, he's a hard one and i suppose Aaron Edwards did the same this year

he has the same 'problem' as mouse, kenna, clayton, allen etc etc these blokes while good enough imho are not given many or any real chance to prove themselves because of their height, although i do think that philosophy is slowly turning with the likes of the davey brothers coming to the forefront

Chambo - no
Kane - no
Allan - no
Crane - no
Callinan - possibly
Cubillo - defiintely not
Ben Hart justified why Adelaide delisted him in the games I saw. Slow, and past it.

I think we like to think that most SANFL players could make it in an AFL club. They couldn't.

Backwell was stiff, however no-one else picked him up, so there must be a reason for it.
