Alternate Strips

As discussed on footysa, I think the SANFL should introduce alternate strips. I've "rehashed" the WWT jumper, what's the thought on the addition of green to this one???

Wouldn't mind a dark blue base colour and then using the sky blue for the actual logo for Sturt.
I'll give it a go changing one tommorow perhaps, it would look somewhat like our heritage one this season one would think.

I also agree that the WWT needs more green PR!
I think we need less dark blue teams, not more! Imo, Sturt should've stayed with the light blue they had (80's) instead of the "teal" they have now as their base.
With regards to "my" touched up WWT jumper, also remove the green skid mark out of the eagle- green top, yellow eagle, blue bottom. Back (like Fitzroy (RIP)) Yellow number, top 1/3rd green, bottom 2/3rds blue.

Is there really a need for the logo as well as the Eagle motif?
Not far off the mark there Punk. Col D may have shown this one at a Board meeting...Punk Rooster wrote:As discussed on footysa, I think the SANFL should introduce alternate strips. I've "rehashed" the WWT jumper, what's the thought on the addition of green to this one???

A bit like in formula 1 GP's Ferrari's aren't painted "Ferrari Red" anymore, it is a lighter, more brilliant shade of red to show up better on the telly. Jaguar was the same when Mark Webber drove for them, Jags are traditionally Brittish Racing Green but the F1 team car had a lot lighter and more brilliant green just for telly.

yes, techniques have changed, the process is called sublimation.Armytank wrote:Did the jumper manufacturer change when the colour changed? It could be as simple as the new manufacture used a different blue? I mean I don't imagine that football clubs use pantone colour codes for the manufacture of the jumper.
Also all of the jumpers for all clubs are produced all white these days with the colour then screen printed on. Perhaps the technique of screen printing has changed the colour shade?

Also, colours should not be an issue whatsoever- if North Adelaide want RED 209 BLUE 55 GREEN 0, then all manufacturers should be able to re-produce this colour, as coloring has a standard format
