The club was a couple of decades ahead of there time with the white socks and guernsey, it's all the rage now, huge fashion hit especially in the AFL.

The joke of the Kerley "Umpire wear white socks" was that at that time they didn't they wore black socks

Yeah but your only rated after the comp has become 2nd string in the state...at least we could win them when the comp was something....

I've always thought that the best footy teams come from places where the kids have nothing better to do than play violent sports and drink too much, and not much to lose by getting chronic injuries. It explains Port's dominance in the 1950s and 1960s, and Central's now.

Simple, we AREN'T Centrals.

Seriously, we're white collar, inner suburbia, and we don't have to chant some inane and repetitively boring AND monotone club-call at every game they attend so we recall which team we support.

Its probably no coincidence that the 2 clubs I've followed in my life have the cheapest and best beer between them!
